Exceptional fun
After seeing Bohemian Rhapsody only a few months ago, I had quite high hopes for the film seeing as it was directed by the same director who (unofficially) took over for the director of Rhapsody and boy did the film deliver. A fun filled film with loads of toe tapping music and an intriguing story to go along with it.
Fairly cheesy in parts but it's to be expected when it's a film about Elton John. Also it felt more of a musical than bohemian Rhapsody which took me put of the film and made it feel almost fake at times.
Perfect for the West End or Broadway but a fun film nonetheless.

Recaptured the spirit/feel of the first film
Even though I don't quite think it was as good as the original film, I do highly rate this as a top quality sequel that lives up to the potential it always promised.
Ryan Reynolds is perfect to play Wade Wilson/Deadpool and both the first film and this film totally redeems the character from the shambles that was Wolverine Origins.
The entire cast is brilliant and the cameos that feature blew me away.
I kept away from spoilers before watching the film and one character that features completely blew me away as I thought he wouldn't appear.
Overall this is a great film and well worth a watch if you haven't already!

I've delayed writing this because I am still trying to fully process this film.
The film was a bizarre, enjoyable fever dream. Who was gaslighting who? Who was actually the reliable narrator? The mythology used in the film was so fitting, down to the fate of the characters. I loved that the film was in black and white, and not in widescreen format.
Robert Pattinson was terrific in this, and always proves that he can actually act. Willem Dafoe's character was one of those slightly annoying but kind of likeable dudes.
I think the best part of seeing this film, is that I'm still trying to process it. Was this a black comedy? A horror film? It's definitely all up for debate.

Tribute to Chadwick Boseman
Return of the Black Panther
So the 2nd Black Panther film 4 years after the first film. A fitting tribute paid to Chadwick Boseman at the start of the film. The film is enjoyable with some great action scenes although there are a lot of long dialogue scenes. It felt fine for the majority of the film before almost going a bit Avengers with a whole bunch of powered up heroes helping to fight. Also a fair bit predictable in terms of the main plot. For a long film 2 hours 35 minutes it didn't really drag but it could have been a fair bit shorter.
Overall another decent Marvel entry if not hitting the heights of the first.

Great Pop culture Sci-fi film
I had no idea this was based on a book so can't compare it. The trailer hooked me as I've been a gamer for a long while and obvious a big film fan. Part of the fun of this film is spotting all the characters from games and film included in it, many blink and you'll miss it moments. Surprised at the amount of horror film references as well but a bonus for someone like me.
The action and visuals are great, although at times for long periods it feels like watching a video game. The story is actually fairly basic and similar in plot to many films. Overall a very enjoyable film especially if you grew up in the 80's, if not actually ground breaking.

Fairly average horror film set deep in the jungle. Just not that scary or suspenseful. Shame missed opportunity for a decent location for a horror film. Quite gory at times, with good effects.
