A very good if totally OTT action film. A mix of Fast and the furious meets Running Man. Great no-brainer action film to kill 90mins with complete with some seriously modified cars!!

I have watched this film every year, normally around Xmas.
The film has a great but heart wrenching story line. Would recommend it to anyone.

Honestly, this one comes close to topping the first film in terms of quality. They just did a fantastic job of digging into these two characters and really making this a good film!

The trailer and title do the film no justice - better than expected
On the surface, the storyline to this film is nothing new - child loses parents, child moves in with creepy distant relative in creepier house, weird things happen (Miss Peregrine, Series of Unfortunate Events etc etc)
However, I think this variation on that story is carried out in a much scarier way - should the word "necromancy" ever really be used in a kids film?
The film is definitely a case of style over substance as the plot is quite thin, but the film is enjoyable. There are pretty much no laughs to be had.
I'm not actually sure who the target market for this film is - the film in general is too scary for under 7s, over 10s won't like it because the main character is too young/childish. Seems like a very narrow market being aimed at.
Overall, an enjoyable film but nothing stands out about it and Jack Black's comedy talents are wasted (he actually made it feel like a sequel to Goosebumps).

So I am very late into the game of watching this film and honestly, I'm so glad I did!
This film was not at all what I expecting.
Firstly, the whole film has only two short scenes of actual dialogue.
The film centres around a couple and their kids trying to survive in a post apocalyptic world with creatures that will eat you if you make a sound.
The creatures are blind but have supersonic hearing so will hear the littlest of sounds, even from very far away, and will devour anything in their path.
Even with the lack of dialogue, the film hits a very emotional punch, but honestly, the film doesn't need any dialogue as it already portrays the perfect atmosphere without them.
The family communicate through sign language, something I assume they knew post apocalypse, as their daughter is deaf.
Everyone in the film plays such great parts and conveys such raw emotions.
If you are a horror or even a thriller fan, I HIGHLY recommend this film.
