"I had heard about Cassavetes, and when I started to see his movies I realized that I knew his face from childhood favorites Rosemary’s Baby and The Dirty Dozen. I loved The Dirty Dozen because of The Team. I still have an eight-by-ten publicity still from that movie. Which Cassavetes movie did I see first? I can’t remember. I know we watched Minnie and Moskowitz many times before a tour around the year 2000 and quoted it often, and I still offer Minnie’s toast to Zelmo in most instances when I am in the position to offer a toast: “To you and your happiness.” I know at some point I saw I’m Almost Not Crazy . . . before I saw Love Streams itself. Love Streams is, to me, Cassavetes’s version of Peckinpah’s Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia or Russ Meyer’s Supervixens: a summing-up and distillation of ideas, theories, characters, plot devices; making a statement by improving upon many earlier acts and creating something that absolutely could not have been made without specific lives behind it, celebrating those lives and the shared history of creator and audience. I’ve never seen Love Streams projected; first I owned a VHS copy and later a copy of the European DVD whose release was sponsored by Agnès B. Love Streams also reminds me of my favorite movie, The Misfits, in the way that life on-screen and off- is a crucial collaborator in the ultimate full effect of the movie."

I've been anxiously awaiting the release of this book since the second one came out last August. I love this series! The tension starts at the very beginning and follows through the entire book, to the last page. I love the characters (Charlie is my hero) and I was furious about what happened at the end (in a good way. I have to read the next book now!).

I will say I wished I'd read the other two again before reading this one. I didn't forget too much, but there were a few little things were I was thinking "Okay I remember something about that, but no details." I would certainly recommend reading them closer together than one year.

If you liked the first two Charlie Madigan books, you'll love this one. Lots of loose ends were tied up, doors were opened, and secrets were revealed. I loved it!

Olivia must deal with the loss of a best friend. How will she deal with the loss? Finn is also has found his first love and marries and goes to Culinary school in Paris. Most of this is dealt tough this loss of his wife Christine? Olivia talks to Dan though songs and other signs. Finn talks and asks for requests though signs from his wife Christine?

 D.D. Marx does a wonderful job with the plot. Olivia is put through her life and what she wants to do. Will she find her true love? Is Dan and Christine behind all the paths and are they the guardians' angels for Olivia and Finn.

Olivia was sent to Hellexia and meets up with Finn McDaniels. What do you know when two people bring life back for to people that lose some they love. We find out the Finn met Dan while they were on a trip to Ireland together. We find out what happens to Christine, Dan’s best friend.

Justin Long's character reminds me so much of myself. The line about how his therapist says he's a narcissist for believing he is the smartest person in the world and his reply... Instantly made me love the character. This movie parallels a very... significant time in my life. So close that it's almost scary... Emmy Rossum also is one of my favorite actresses. These two together, which are pretty much the only characters in the story, are more than enough. This movie... It makes me cry almost every time I watch it, but I can't count how many times I have. Maybe it's just how closely it mirrors events in my life, but I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it and has been my favorite movie ever since. If you are a romantic person, watch this movie. However, be ready to shed a few tears...
