Heather Cranmer (2721 KP) rated Need (Need #1) in Books

I loved this book and am now going to get the second book in the series =D I'll be honest, I found this book quite boring when I first started reading it. It wasn't until I was about a quarter of the way through it that I really started getting into it. I'm so glad I stuck this book out. The characters, I love...the plot is really good. I'd really recommend this book =) In fact, I'd say that Carrie Jones is a much better writer than Stephenie Meyer.

I am absolutely obsessed with this show. I told myself when it first came out that i wasnt going to watch it. I was expecting something completely different. I finally started watching it after the second season finished airing. I love a good mystery and this certainly fulfills that. The drama and romance are pretty spot on as well. I binge watched both season pretty quickly, i just couldnt stop watching it. There were plenty of times where i was on the edge of my seat. I have recommended this show to many people already.

I started this show not really expecting much from it and at first I didn't really think it was anything special but as I continued it I couldn't help myself getting more and more addicted too it and I wasn't the only one. Everyone at school was talking about this show to their friends! "Have you watched On My Block yet?" "No I haven't gotten to it yet." "You need too!" I love how it's getting the attention it deserves. I need to know what happens next! I can't wait to see season 2.

I was given this book by a friend who knows of my love of "fantasy" books and folklore / mythology. This was an absolutely magnificent read that draws you in from the first page and keeps you guessing until the end. Exceedingly well written with characters you can associate with. I have to admit that my favourite part of the book is actually the location of Wales and therefore the folklore given is Welsh. It make such a refreshing change to read about Wales' history and not just Ireland.
Would highly recommend it to simply everyone!!!

Situations we have all found ourselves in when we were young (1 more)
It's laugh out loud funny
Relatable and hilarious
I was a teenager when this first came out and absolutely loved it, still do now. It's actually quite relatable, the problems the girls face are things im sure everyone has some kind of experience with.
The girls in this act really well and the way it's written is fab - it doesn't drag, theres no unnecessary veer offs.
All my girl friends love this, I'm sure you will too, give it a go!

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This but book was a lot of fun and a breeze to read.
I hadn't read the first one and it jumps straight into the action but there's some pretty decent exposition to help along.
I really liked the fact that it was told from three points of view.
I think Ty's story was my favorite but I adored Maggie's comic book love.
And hooray for strong friendships between women!

Ready For Book Two
Can I start by asking, "When does the second book come out?! This retelling of King Midas surpassed all my wildest expectations and then some. This spin was written rather creatively and I found myself enjoying this adventure full of pirates, first loves and curses. I will tell you that I was shocked and caught off guard by some startling revelations and I eagerly await with anticipation for the next book. Kudos to this author's storytelling and spell weaving as I fell in love with the web she spun!

I read the first book in this series last month, after being an avid fan of the Tortall series for years, and I fell in love with the characters. All four of the main characters are sweet, interesting, unique, and fun. I really appreciate how Tamora Peirce made them so distinct from each other and balanced their own tragic backstories with their strength, humor, and adorableness. I would not be surprised if this is not the only book from this series I read this month. Wonderfully fun tale of magic and adventures.
