Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated You've Got Murder (Turing Hopper, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Turing Hopper is the first sentient Artificial Intelligence Personality. The only person who knows the truth is her creator, but when he goes missing, Turing does what she can to track him down, pulling in two additional humans to be her legs.
The creativity in this book is wonderful. Turing is such a human character you can't help but love her, and the author makes great use of the characters to tell an unique story. Definitely worth tracking down.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax (Mrs. Pollifax, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Seeking to give her life meaning, widowed Mrs. Pollifax applies to be a spy with the CIA. She's sent on a simple currier assignment for Carstairs, but things go wrong and she is kidnapped. Can she use her wits to escape? The story is highly improbable, but I absolutely fell in love. The final third still make me turn pages quickly even though I remember all the twists from the first time it kept me up all night to finish.

Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Stone Cold in Books
Mar 11, 2018
It’s not something I would read but I received this eBook in the February Fresh Fiction Book Box and this is the first book I decided to start and I loved it. The perfect amount of humor from some of the ghosts and I love the developing friendship between P.I. Melissa Kennedy and Detective Daniel Forrester they make a great team which I can see is going to turn to romance further in the series I just hope I don’t have to wait too long for the second book which is out sometime in the summer.

Tiffany Reisz Jeg elsker dig.
This was amazing, It made me laugh and cry. I wanted to devour it and savour it.
All of these books and the short stories are written so beautifully and you can't help but fall in love with the characters.
Some of the one liners in this book had me laughing out loud.
'Can I lose my watch in you?'
So typical of Kinsley, poor young Nora had know idea what it meant at first and it never fails to make me laugh.
Only problem now is having to wait for the next one.

Clare Parrott (294 KP) rated Heat Wave in Books
Feb 13, 2018
A nice read with the action starting from the very first page when Marilee crashes her hot air balloon into Coles pool. I love the banter between them and there's quite a spark from the beginning but this book was written in the 80's and there is where it should have stayed. If its going to be re-released it should have had a modern revamp. This book has left me wanting... (bit like Marilee!) I'm sure if you brought it into the 'New Adult' genre it could be a 3.5 to 4 stars but sadly its a 2 for me.

Caffeinated Fae (464 KP) rated A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent in Books
Jul 12, 2018
Oh man, I did not think I was going to like this book as much as I did. First off, I love dragons. They're some of my favorite mythical creatures so naturally this book intrigued me. I have to say, I really loved this book. The characters were strong & I could easily relate to them. Isabella was a fun character to watch grow. Her tenacity was admirable & I kept rooting for her. The plot was unique & kept me guessing which I really appreciated.
All in all, I loved the character growth & I will definitely continue on in this series.

Iris lives a life with everything orderly and controlled. An anonymous gift turns out to be a sick piece of artwork which leads Iris into danger. Can a neighbor and his dog help her find love, comfort, and the ability to trust again?
As with the first book in the Planted series, this is more than just a book of mystery and romance. The underlining story has to do with finding faith, strength, understanding, and support while gaining a deeper relationship with God and his teachings.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cumberland (1142 KP) rated Once And For All in Books

Loved this book
Unlike most of Sarah Dessens books Once and For All isn't about first love. Its about what comes after. I really enjoyed the flash backs that slowly showed the reader Louna's past. In general the book is about Louna as she moves forward in life, so it was nice to see how her past played such an important role. Louna is one of my favorite Sarah Dessen characters, and her friendship with Ambrose had me smiling throughout the book. This is definitely a must read for anyone who is a fan of young adult romance.
A rabbit hole you must fall into
A friend sent me this book and from the first page I was captured.
It’s a spider web of characters that I want to follow.
It’s a world that invited me in and I’m hoping to stay permanently.
The plot weaves a tantalising invitation that begs you to stay within its pages.
People aren’t who they seem and things aren’t what they seem.
Ink is an unsung masterpiece
I couldn’t love it more

fab read
This is the second book in this series by this author. This is such an amazing story, so beautifully written with such emotions in every word. You need to read the first book in this series to fully understand the story between the characters. This book has mystery, drama, action and lots of tension. Amazing wellwritten characters, you will fall in love from the start. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.
