Disappointing from this author
I love Butcher, and this had all the marks of one of his series. But I found the story for the most part to be very dry. I listened to this on audio at 1.5x speed to get through it and still felt that it was sort of flat, I felt the same during the peaks as I did for the rest of the book.

I'm sure it will get better later in the series, all his first books have been sort of like that, but I am unlikely to continue with the story. The takes on the cats were pretty fun, but overall I'm disappointed.

I love a mystery that wastes no time with setup and has me in suspense from page 1, and Between Good and Evil did just that. It took a bit to catch on to what was happening in Auburn Notch, but that’s not a bad thing. The reader is left to piece things together as the story unfolds just as the characters are, and there is a lot going on. The characters are well formed and the descriptions very detailed. This was a good first installment, and I’ll be watching for more Promise Flynn.

NOTE: I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

NOTE: I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy provided to me by the author.

Marlee and friends are back in the 2nd Berry Basket Mystery, and I enjoyed this one even more than the first. While surveying a possible starting location for the annual road rally, Marlee finds the body of a girl missing for 20 years hidden in the overgrowth. Can she catch a killer when the murder happened so long ago?

I enjoy reading about Marlee and her friends, and I would love to visit Oriole Point. With such a great combination of characters, setting, and suspense, I’m already looking forward to book #3.

When Kazoo, the koala on loan to FunJungle, is stolen, Teddy finds himself the only suspect anyone is willing to consider. Can he stay out of jail long enough to prove his innocence?

I've been waiting a long time for a follow up to the first in this series, and I wasn't disappointed. The characters are still great, the mystery is complex, and there are some funny and scary moments. The book's target Middle Grade audience will love it just as much as I did.

Just not as good as 3 or New Vegas
I love the Fallout Games. I own all of them, even the first ones. Fallout 4 isn't BAD per say - it just isn't great. Fallout 3 and New Vegas had me up for weeks playing, not able to put it down. Fallout 4? Not so much. The story wasn't as grabbing, the new speech format was lackluster, and the repetitiveness wasn't great...
Plus, it's less sandbox and more structured now. I want to get back to being able to kill every NPC I find, and dealing with the consequences.

I love this movie
I watched this movie when I was way too young, and it terrified me. Fast forward years later when I had my first kiddo, she was asleep up in her room, and I went to watch the movie again. Quickly it occurred to me that I couldn't watch it. I was still so scared of that movie that I was sure my kid was going to get possessed or something from me inviting evil in the house.

Completely ridiculous, but there it is! LOL

(I've since lost some of my fear of the movie and now can just giggle about it.)

No disassemble Number 5!
I remember when I saw this movie at the theatre in 1986 when it was the 2nd half of a double feature. I don't even remember what the first movie was any more.

I love this movie beyond words. The goofy humor of the robot, his interactions with Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg, and even GW Bailey playing the always bad guy.

Some of the robot's one liners were just precious! "You're mamma was a snowblower!"

Probably one of those 80s movies you had to be alive then to appreciate, but still a classic!

One of the best B movies of all time
I first saw this film as a midnight movie (back when those were a thing) when I worked at the cinema. I would pop in occasionally to check on the crowd and I was always amazed at what I saw and how much the audience was getting into it and laughing hysterically.

This is one of those films you can't explain to someone without it sounds utterly idiotic, but is just a lot of fun with some good horror thrown in.

Trust me when I say you will love it!

I was really looking forward to finally watching this film. The story sounded interesting, and I love Cillian Murphy in everything.
However, this movie was boring. I did like the story, but I think the length was what made it completely boring to me. Whenever I pick up my phone and start playing a game the first time I watch a movie, I know I'm bored. Luckily, it finally started being interesting at the end of it.
Cillian Murphy was definitely one of the better parts of the film. The ending was definitely what made me rate this as ok. It was just the build up that seemed to take forever.

I was so not ready for this ending... What can I say? Beautiful beyond words... I can't even begin to say how much I loved seeing this next step towards the new life these two are building after surviving more than any two people should. The first two books in this series were so dark and twisted yet this ending somehow made it all right and beautiful in the end. His devotion to making things right between them gripped at my heart and I was SO happy that these two could find love after all they gone through. PERFECT ending to an incredible series!!
