Chrissy Metz performs her heart out. When she smiles you'll smile and when she cries; your heart will melt. She is the star of the show. (0 more)
In my hubby's opinion, it left his dinner and bed unmade for 3 days. Sorry xxx (0 more)
One of America's well written box sets. It will keep most bottoms stuck to the sofas.
The production team and the cast have delivered a first rate box set drama that will have you goggle eyed and lazy. You will laugh out loud and be left wiping away tears as you come to know and love the many characters.

The show jumps between decades informing you of the characters past and present. I know this can be not only annoying but also confusing. This is not the case in "This is us" Hat off to the production team and writers

"One of the best of the past decade. I love that Criterion has already championed this, as it truly deserves to be among many of the classics in the collection. This is one of those rare movies that have the power to make you forget you’re even watching a movie in the first place, instead making you feel you’re witnessing someone’s life unfold. The main character (played by an actress who is so underrated for this sole role of hers) reminds me a lot of a cousin of mine when she was at that age, enough so that for me, watching it almost seems like personal insight into where her head was at in those years. Fish Tank also contains one of the most real, unique, and effective uses of classic hip-hop in a film that I’ve ever seen."

"You simply couldn’t ask for a better pop record by a rock and roller. There’s not a lot of songs on here I don’t like. I don’t even know what I could say about this one, other than it simply is a must-own record. But once you get past the never-ending hits on this one, there’s a depth to the lyrics that really rivals anyone writing out there. That creeps in after a few listens. How brilliant the words are on this record. I love when sad songs sound happy, and this is maybe the king of them all: “Born down in a dead man’s town/The first kick I took was when I hit the ground/End up like a dog that’s been beat too much, ‘till you spend half your life just a covering’ up, now."
