Hold My Hand by Jen Cloher

(0 Ratings)

Track

"It’s about Jen overhearing a conversation between her parents. Her mum had Alzheimer’s and she was asking her husband how they first met. He told this beautiful long story about how they started dating, what they were wearing, how they’d send each other love letters… and then five minutes later she said, “So how did we meet again?” It’s a bittersweet love song and is absolutely brutal on the heartstrings."

"I’ve loved him since his mixtapes and I love his first album Dr. Lecter. That album has just the best hip-hop beats, but there’s something about his new album that is really fresh. That song 'Baby Blue,' it’s a little more produced and less ‘90s-esque. I don’t know if it’s better because I love it all, but it is definitely a new step—he’s definitely artistically evolving."

I love Frozen and, while not as good as the first one (yet better in other ways), I love the second movie too! It does seem to touch on depression just enough that even my 9 year old was in tune with what they were trying to depict, but not so much that it was a turn off. The story, overall, was sweet and happy, with several life lessons hidden within.

One of Disney's best
The first time I saw this, I wasn't a huge fan. I just didn't understand the hype. However since then I've really come to appreciate how good this film actually is, to the point where it's probably one of my guilty favourites.

Let It Go might still be slightly overrated, but all of the songs are fun and catchy and you can't help but sing along. There's good humour and the plot itself although typical Disney, is still heartwarming and entertaining. What I love the most is the fact that it makes fun of the typical Disney film - love at first sight, true loves kiss etc - it's refreshing for it not to completely follow the usual Disney formula. And who can't not love Olaf?

When Load first came out I was unsure now after all these years I have grown to love it.
Opening with Ain't my Bitch it was typical high octane Metallica, 2x4 is next and then The House that Jack built, an under rated track, then come the singles Until It Sleeps, Hero of the Day and King Nothing the latter one of Kirk's finest performances.
Then Bleeding Me a track I hated at first but now absolutely adore.
Wasting My Hate and Thorn Within are outside of the formers intro very formulatic.
Next is Mama Said, a heartfelt song that some fans still have issues with.
Then Ronnie which I love.
Outlaw Torn ends the album again like Bleeding Me I started off hating it but over time I have grown to love.
