I love, love, loved this book! This is my first Mercedes Lackey book and it most definitely won't be my last! If all - or even most - of her other books are as good as this one, I'll be a fan for life! I do think the synopsis is a bit misleading, it's not exactly how everything happened, especially since the prince doesn't enter the picture until halfway through the book. Maybe hardcore fantasy readers won't enjoy it as much as those who love both fantasy and romance, but I thought it was a very smart and interesting twist on the usual fairy tales. I loved the epilogue and thought that added to the whole 'moral' of the story. I can't wait to get to the others in the series. :)

*This is a re-read for me, but my first review of the books*

A stellar novel of angst, suspense, blood sucking and romance when you least expect!

J.R. Ward is a phenomenal story teller. She pulled me from page one, and held me captive with Wrath's angst and pain, and with Mary's confusion and love. These characters weren't just created....they were molded into beautiful creatures of the night, and woven into the story line in just the right way.

This story of pain, unexpected love, sorrow and confusion is one that will sit with the reader long after the last page is turn. The Brotherhood is family now, and I look forward to continuing the journeys of each Brother's love story.

Definitely recommended with the highest of 5 stars!

Perfectly creepy.

So guys, I just finished processing. “You” has to be the most intense novel I’ve read since The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen.

The intensity Joe has in his, what he likes to call love, for Beck is insane! There is no easing into the stalker tendencies for Joe. He’s full bore from the very first time he saw her nipples.

I’d like to think that I would have some sort of feeling I was being stalked. “You” shows that one can go through day to day life and just never know. You would think once your friends started dying something was up…guess not.

If you love reading books from a love sick stalkers point of view then “You” is perfect

I love the world I enter reading this book. This is the second time I have read this book, and I can say I loved it just as much. The first time I read it I absolutely loved it, then watched the movie and hated it because it wasn’t as good as the book, typical for 11-13-year-old me. I later learned to LOVE the movie. Re-reading it allowed me to compare the two a little more clear-headed and I have to say that despite differences the tone is caught in the film. I love everything about this book, characters, setting, plot, magic… It is so much fun, and I get completely sucked it. This time I am planning on reading the remainder of this series.

It is a story that lays bare the beauty and brutality of coming-of-age discovery and first love with all of its divine, euphoric highs and melancholy, longing lows. The truth embodied in these characters makes you want to jump right into the pages to express your own empathy for what is being said and left unsaid. We have all lived these honest moments of connection and miscommunication in the soulful, connective force that is love. If I had to give this book a rating with stars I would give it a shooting star indeed."
