Bookish boyfriend's is a book for any starry eyed reader. Let's be honest at some point in time every reader has thought "boys(or girls) are better in books". Or found ourselves imagining what it would be like to be the other person in the book getting a relationship with said amazing character. Well this book brings it to life.
Merri gets to live her dream of book boyfriend's and finds out maybe we need to look deeper than just a first glance/dream idea.
I absolutely adored this book, the character, the references, and that it wasn't just cut and dry predictable. I sincerely hope the author gives us a glimpse into another characters story in the future!

I liked the first one well enough. The story line had a lot of potential, but overall it was rushed. I did not agree with When something critical would happen it didn't seem like that big of a deal. Spoiler->

Like when Alkamy was killed.. she rushed right through it like it was no big deal. Everyone leaned on alkamy and loved her....yet the author gave the characters and the readers no time to mourn her or even really acknowledge the fact that she was just dead in an instant like she was of no importance and that upset me it kind of made me feel a void the rest of the book.

Very well written and will leave you begging for the sequel!!
This is an amazing book...the first series I have been super excited about in a long time. The characters are very multi-dimensional with good and bad traits. You take a journey with the main character, Elloren, and see the world and other characters the way she does. The author is phenomenal at showing versus telling so you see the world that she has created and feel the history behind all of the cultures.

I have not been this excited about a series since Harry Potter. I have read this book 3 times and cannot wait until The Light Mage and The Iron Flower are available!!!
