Another kids book. Henry wants to go fishing with his father, but he has to keep his dog Ribsy out of trouble so he can go. Wonderful characters and very real to life situations, just funnier. The chapter "Ramona and the P.T.A." still kills me.

Very Luck based and Punishing, but could be fun with some rules tweaks....

Here's the rules I would tweak. You can run home and stash fish so that they can't be lost which creates a push your luck mechanism. You can also have a maximum number of fish to hold, therefore you can try to upgrade once you've hit your limit and release the smaller fish which would be thematic as well. There is clearly a love of fishing, but not a love of fun in the game as it currently stands. Should've gone through another round of playtesting without the designers friends to see the flaws. but the art on the board is beautiful and this should be a more fun game. I'd love to see a modern designer take this on.
