Mark Halpern (153 KP) rated The Godfather (1972) in Movies
Jan 11, 2018 (Updated Jan 11, 2018)
The story of a young Italian who chooses to go into the army and not deal with the family businesses in any way comes home to his sisters wedding to be with family. Not two days later chain events happen that changes his point of view on the family and makes him join. He rises to power not only with in the family but, against other mafia familes and becomes most feared.
This movie shows one of the greatest transformations of a character ever in film history. A hero who becomes a villain for the right reasons you could say. This movie spawns two sequels. The second being better than the first and the third really just closes the story out but, this story will always be the best mafia story ever written.

Still Me is a lovely book to read with a hidden message for all us readers within the story – BE YOU. Don’t be who others want/need you to be. I found it an easy read, fast paced and to round it up with that beautiful ending! Perfect. I would say read these books in order though as it does make references to the previous books and characters. If you enjoyed Me Before You or After You then you will love Still Me. I would highly recommend this story to you all, a well deserved five stars.
Still Me will have you feeling all the emotions. Happy, sad, upset, laughing out loud, regret and anger. Brilliant!

Five Stars
Havoc was an intriguing read. I found myself sad and ready to defend him at every turn. Angel was so feisty and stubborn. They made an interesting pair. I felt bad for Havoc when his sister turned to Gunner over him. But on the other hand he left on a man hunt to find their father not thinking of the other people who cared about him. Bikers always fascinated me the loyalty they have for each other and the lengths they go to protect their families. The visuals the author gave painted a clear picture of a young man wishing to free his family from the pain and stress his father brought upon them. You get a clear picture of how fierce and scared Angel was through out the whole story. Their relationship was hot and short but I guess once you know what you want you go for it and don’t let it go. Havoc was really just a soft teddy bear inside with the means to kill and protect all those he loved. The perfect blend of alpha male and sensitive.

Kristy H (1252 KP) rated Something She's Not Telling Us in Books

This was a twisty read that kept me guessing the entire time. It makes you work a bit to keep up, going back and forth between different perspectives and time periods, but it is interesting, dark, and compelling, with several good surprises thrown in. I was constantly switching my allegiances between Charlotte and Ruth, wondering which one (if either) I should trust. The ending felt a little abrupt and quick, but I would certainly read Bell's other work. 3.5 stars.
