Speed (1994)
Speed (1994)
1994 | Action, Thriller
Early gung ho Keanu movie that is not ageing well at all, the premise is a clever twist on the usual disaster movies and Dennis Hopper is always great at playing his usual antagonistic role.
Sandra Bullock rounds off the cast with Jeff Daniel's in very much a supporting role.. a non essential 80s flick.

Where No Man Has Gone Before
Stargate- is a good action sci-fi flick. I know alot of people werent the biggest fans of this film, but i thought it was good.

The plot: In modern-day Egypt, professor Daniel Jackson (James Spader) teams up with retired Army Col. Jack O'Neil (Kurt Russell) to unlock the code of an interstellar gateway to an ancient Egypt-like world. They arrive on a planet ruled by the despotic Ra (Jaye Davidson), who holds the key to the Earth travelers' safe return. Now, in order to escape from their intergalactic purgatory, Jackson and O'Neil must convince the planet's people that Ra must be overthrown.

Like i said its a good sci-fi flick.

OTT brainless action flick
I was a fan of the original, it had a totally OTT action feel to it. Like a Bond film on steroids. This is better than the 2nd offering, but it's still very predictable and silly at times. One to switch the brain off to.

Multi-layered Crime Thriller
A cool British gangster flick as some low end criminals get in way over their head. It's interesting the way the story unravels and it is well made. If you like Snatch, @Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1999) you should enjoy this to. Although this has less humour than those two films.

Better than it should be, coming of age flick
Despite its obvious rich school location and some of the campiness of it's stereotypes. It's actually quite endearing, and a great soundtrack. Save Ferris makes an appearance in the prom scene. Dazzle them with your wits is always the best move.

The Rock Dose Die Hard
The Rock Dose Die hard. A modern take of two classic film die hard and great inferno infusing both stories.

Action scenes are good some what unbelievable put make the goosebumps rise. But nowhere near as good as the classic films.

Good popcorn flick.

Better than Expected
Was surprised by this was expecting it to be a complete dross. But went by quickly enough brilliant cast. Big fan of the Nick Frost and Jaime Winstone cameos. I don't think Alicia Vikander is better than Angeline Jolie. But all in all great action flick which I'm sure will start a franchise

Movie of 2019???
Is this the best flick of 2019??? It’s up there for me.

A dark take on a rapidly tiring superhero genre, posing the question of What if they are not here to save us? Brightburn delivers on every level and takes the next step that was started with chronicle.

A definite must watch

"“I like a good Brit gangster flick, so I like all of Guy Ritchie’s stuff. I like American gangster movies too, but for me, as an American, I feel like the British ones have an added quality to them. Because the culture is unfamiliar you get away from a lot of the clichés. They’re more gritty, less stylised.”"

I don't get the hate - this was a fun popcorn flick.
I'll admit, I watched this movie basically because of all the hate it was getting on social media. I thought "It really can't be that bad, can it?" And I was right. It really wasn't that bad.

Now, if you're looking for an original storyline, insightful social commentary that hasn't been done three hundred times before, or acting that'll blow you away - well, why the sweet Hades were you watching a Netflix movie starring Will Smith and ORCS for heaven's sake?

However, if you were wanting a fun popcorn flick that required no thinking, but gave you cheesy-lines and lots of action, this was almost perfect. It really just depends on what you're expecting from it going in.
