This is so cute! There’s not much I can say in a review for this since it is basically a novelty picture book, but I loved it.
There’s a cute little illustration of a hug on every page and I just find it really heartwarming. It’s one of my go-to feel-good books that will always cheer me up as well – I just have to flick to a random page for a smile.
I love that there’s little quotes mixed in as well. It’s just such a loving little book and would make a great present to anyone

It’s hard to look at Sex & The City now and not see four women who absolutely hated each other, but the first film in the series was actually pretty good. The less said about Sex and the City 2 the better. Although Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) wedding plans don’t go quite as she would have imagined them, the lead up to the ceremony itself is a reason to give this flick a watch. The fashion, the cast and Carrie’s almighty dress is pure American wedding excellence.

This film was based on the novel of the same name by Dean Koontz. I haven't read the novel, so I can't properly judge it on how good of an adaption it was.
Honestly, the only reason I watched this movie was because I was chilling with a friend a few years ago, and we saw a movie with Anton Yelchin in it on Netflix or something (she'd met him twice, I'm still super jealous). It was definitely an entertaining, quick-moving paranormal flick that I immediately fell in love with and purchased a few days after I saw it.

Amazing film
Don't be put off thinking this is just another cheesey chick flick, that would be an unjust insult. This is a very well made film with a great story of true love standing the test of time. The acting, score, cinematography and the 40's theme costumes and sets really show this is a very well produced film. It might be obvious from early on what is going to happen but it doesn't stop the journey being any less fun. If you liked the romance side of Titanic and Pearl Harbour you will like this a lot.
Kate (355 KP) rated The Kissing Booth (2018) in Movies

This is a typical american teen flick where a girl as a crush and hasn't kissed a boy before. Trouble is there is lots of errors such as drinking is not legal in the US until they are 21 and they are obviously teenagers but lots of alcohol fuelled parties. The boy is question was supposed to be several years older than the girl and yet they were in the same class at school and your mother was ill in hospital for several years and yet she had a younger brother. Some hunks for teenage girls to ogle over.

Missed the notes of the book
The Goldfinch was quite a special book full of atmosphere and suspense as well of coming of age. Its also a bloody big book so to make it work in a short film is quite difficult.
That is the movies let down. The development of characters that is expansive in the book was lacking the space they needed in the film. Its still a decent enough flick but you just don't get drawn into the emotion of the people involved.

Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated Point Blank (2019) in Movies
Jul 15, 2019
While he's well known in the horror community, I feel enough people don't know Writer/Director Joe Lynch. His newest flick in which he directed, Point Blank, just dropped on Netflix recently. The cops are chasing after a criminal. A criminal is chasing after the truth. A nurse is chasing after his pregnant wife. The pregnant wife and unborn baby of said nurse is chasing after life. And Big D is chasing after that money shot for his movie, which I really want to see. But until Big D releases his directorial debut, you should check out Point Blank on Netflix.
