Great stripped-back 70s folk-rock album. Similar tone to Lou Reed's solo work.

Great folk-rock album. Kicking off with "Take it Easy" and continuing in similar vein throughout the album, it is a good set of 70s rock songs.

Rolling Stone's 386th greatest album of all time
Kicking off with their biggest hit, "Rikki Don't Lose That Number", this is a great album of American folk rock. Fairly typical 70s rock that I challenge anyone not to appreciate.

"Karen O was a huge inspiration for me in my early musical journey. I loved how she was able to merge her folk music writing tendencies within the format of rock music."

Rolling Stone's 359th greatest album of all time
Great typical 70s rock album, quite a folk/country flavour as well as John's trademark rock and roll style. The only well known song here is the epic Rocket Man, but the rest fits well with the style of that and the album is a really good listen.

Rolling Stone's 449th greatest album of all time
A mediocre bunch of folk-rock songs. I can't see why on earth this would come above Jackson Browne's album, there seems to be passion missing and none of the songs are particularly memorable.
