A short non-fiction ebook that draws comparisons from the magic written by J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter series to the historical myths and folklore from which it's based. Invisiability, transforming into a creature, and warding off evil are just a few of the topics you'll find in this book.

I found this to be a fascinating read and would recommend it to any fans of Harry Potter who are interested in Mythology and Folklore.

Incredible attention to detail including the dialect, costumes and traditional folklore (3 more)

If you like folklore and traditional tales then this is very accurate to the records

June is National Rose Month, with the National Red Rose Day on the 12th. 🌹

June also always feels like the month when folklore fully wakes into the light. Perhaps it's because so many traditional customs gather around Midsummer and the Summer Solstice. Bonfires on the hills, herbs gathered at their most potent, sacred wells, stories of fairies, dreams, and the strange folklore surrounding fern seed all seem to belong to this time of year.

Something is fascinating about a season so full of sunlight, also carrying so many tales of magic, blessing, and hidden knowledge. The longest day of the year has inspired stories for centuries, and it's easy to see why.

The cliche-sounding summary doesn't do this book justice, I was pleasantly surprised by how shockingly good this book was. Only downside is the folklore was a little hard to follow at times.
