Got to the third ape movie and this time with added comedy which is what the first two could have done with most of the funny lines are given to cornelius played by the returning roddy McDowall who couldn't do the second one overall good sequel

Weird
A odd series full of strange characters on vacation at a resort in Hawaii. The cast is impressive and scenery looks great. There just doesn't appear to be any real plot as such. More like a social commentary about people with money. Some funny moments but overall rather dysfunctional.

I think I was a bigger fan of Gervais before I listened to this podcast (and subsequently watched the various Karl Pilkington TV shows). I loved The Office, and some of his films. Some of his stand-up was funny. But here (as with the Pilkington shows) he just shows a nasty bitterness and bullying towards people that is not really entertaining. The best of the podcast is how Karl Pilkington reacts to it, but even then we know he is funny without that happening. This has really put me off Gervais quite a lot and I now see him as a "silly little fat man" who is just a spiteful bully.

The House Is A Typical Will Ferrel Comedy, And Proves As Usual That He Is The Man Of The House Of Laughter
Me and the wife enjoyed this film, the start was a little slow but once it found its feet it couldnt stop running with comedy.
Will Ferrel & Amy Poehler go together nicely to make the believable couple, and i would love a marriage to be as strong as theirs in this film.
I can tell just how funny this is as we watched it late at night and my wife stayed awake all the way through, a true sign of a good film.

this is the second time I've read the book and it is still as good the second time. really enjoyed this book. a different story with a twist in the story. the connection between the two main characters is fantastic as well as the supporting characters, making this book romantic and funny. this book has some very hot steamy bits to it but they are not over done. a fantastic page turner and easy book to read. the story is fast paced moving from romantic and funny to misfortune very quickly. have the second book waiting as you will need to start it straight away. highly recommended.

Ok whodunit comedy
I love a whodunit murder mystery film, serious or comedy. So I was excited when I heard about this Netflix film just a couple of days before it was released. I'm not a big Sandler fan but he has done some funny films. He had good chemistry with Aniston in @Just Go with It (2011) and they work together well in this as well. It was OK especially if you are a fan of the genre. The only down side really most of the best bits are in the trailer. Overall a fun lighthearted comedy with a fair share of funny moments.

Instantly forgettable
I hadnt really heard of this film and I guess now I know why. It's described as a rom-com but it's far from funny and the romance is a bit hit and miss too.
I was expecting something pretty funny but instead the jokes were few and far between. It has a good cast but they're wasted on such a serious and cliched script and plot. You can tell too that its very low budgey. It's all a bit cringey and although it wasn't quite bad enough to turn off, its instantly forgettable and not one I'd watch again. Shame as I was hoping it'd be more of an undiscovered gem.
