It took a good minute for Werewolves Within to click with me, but once it did, it was a whole bag of fun.
My initial issues with it is how frantically overwhelming the first act is. This movie is effectively Clue but with a horror twist, and as such, the introduction of a hefty cast of characters, or suspects if you will, feels a little rushed. It didn't help that every one of them felt like comic relief and that the editing style is clearly inspired by Shaun of the Dead, meaning it's choppy, and brisk. Thankfully, this doesn't last too long. Once everyone is introduced and things starts to happen, Werewolves Within slips into a genuinely funny whodunit, that's effective in keeping its secrets close to its chest, and at one point had this viewer questioning if werewolves were even part of it, or whether the unfolding events were just a big misunderstanding.
By the final act, everything has just descended into chaos, and it's hugely entertaining. This is all bolstered by it's two great and likable leads, played by Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub.

It's well paced and effective, funny, q little bloody, and ultimately, Werewolves Within is a blast, and well worth checking out.

This is a short but sweet shifter book, without much shifting! It is funny and full of quips between the main characters - Jagger and Kevin. I love Jagger's sister, Syn, as she has a warped view and doesn't have any doubts about speaking her mind.

Jagger is stuck in a job he likes but isn't appreciated. Kevin is literally stuck as a human, unable to shift at all, since he has been cursed. Jagger doesn't believe that Kevin has been cursed, but he does believe that Kevin believes it. This is a big distinction to make in a book this short and funny. So many times, things are dismissed just because one person doesn't believe it. That doesn't make it any less real for the person who does believe, so I loved that this had been put there and that Jagger gives Kevin his full support.

Full of warmth, love and laughter, this book was thoroughly enjoyable and I can't wait to read more about the City Shifters. Definitely recommended.

I adored how cute this book was. The progression of Dimple and Rishi’s relationship as the got to know each other was wonderful. I especially liked how we got to see it from both points of view. This book made me giggle with glee, go all mushy at the cuteness and ultimately really root for the main characters. It’s been a while since a book had me this invested in a romance, especially a stand alone novel. As well as cute, this book was also funny. The humour was strong throughout, which really added to my overall enjoyment.

the 80s got an upgrade
this movie is a straight up blender of everything that was awesome about 80s movies, only amped up to 11 and given all the effects and production that just weren't possible back then.
it honestly felt to me like a serial to Flash Gordon, only fixing everything that made it cornball... yet somehow keeping the charm all that corny goodness delivered.
It's intense, funny, heartfelt, action packed, and addresses issues of family, sibling rivalry, and loss.
Highly recommended.
