Love Hurts
The War of the Roses- is a funny drama. Micheal Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito are all excellent in this.

The plot: After 17 years of marriage, Barbara (Kathleen Turner) and Oliver Rose (Michael Douglas) want out. The trouble is, neither one wants to part with their opulent home. So begins a long war between husband and wife, reaching farcical heights that leave much of the house -- not to mention their lives -- in shambles. The couple's children (Sean Astin, Heather Fairfield) watch in horror while lawyer Gavin D'Amato (Danny DeVito) tries his best to stem the bloodshed.

Its a good film.

"I saw it when I was 13 and it had an amazing impact on me, I couldn’t believe something was so funny and so smart. The level of writing is so crazy; it’s a continual inspiration. It blew my mind. I was at home babysitting my younger siblings. My parents were out dancing, and it came on at 1:30 AM. I would watch Saturday Night Live, and it was on after. I thought it was a horror film to start because it’s dark and there’s the pop-pop-pop and there’s smog. In the movie, that’s their preamble thing that I missed, so I didn’t know it was a comedy."

"I read this book in high school when it was first published. It had the reputation of being “dirty.” It did not disappoint: I was all of 14. It was also deliciously funny. It still is. Its status is secure and I doubt there’s a “Best” list it’s not on. It’s wildly romantic, scathingly satiric of middle-class Americans as only a European aristocrat can see us, and ultimately deeply moving. Lolita is the light of everyone’s loins. Humbert Humbert’s despair is anyone’s who has loved and lost in vain. Nabokov “gets” America and Americans. He is one of the great writers in English and it wasn’t even his first language."

"It was seminal, you know? It’s still a cult film for actors. It’s just about two out-of-work actors in England. I keep that on my iPad; I’ll go back and watch that at any point or scene. And there’s a performance by Uncle Monty (Richard Griffiths) — I think it’s one of the greatest comedic performances I’ve seen in my life. Such a wonderful film. It just reaffirms to me that I’m part of an ongoing world of actors. It’s funny, but it’s also beautiful in the end. When Grant does the Hamlet speech… It’s about success, failure, moving on, friendship, loss, and just life. It’s brilliant."

The ending is kind of out of nowhere. This movie definitely didn't have this sequel in mind when they made the first movie. (0 more)
Basically, I feel like this movie falls in to the trap of forced foreshadowing. In that they tried to make it seem like what happened in this sequel was hinted at in the first film, but for me personally, it felt very far fetched. Definitely made for some easy money, but to be fair, most sequels are these days. That being said, I still enjoyed the movie, it just wasn't great.

Three parents try to stop their daughters from having sex on Prom night.

They're not for looking at, they're for using.

This film was everything I hoped for. Hilarious nonsense that really made me thank god that my parents aren't that crazy... although I probably shouldn't tempt fate like that.

Leslie Mann is wonderful, I loved her in The Other Woman, and I love her in this. There's some innocence around the characters she plays and it's just so funny.

It's not going to win any awards, but it is a great light-hearted film that will have you smiling, laughing, and cringing in equal measure.

Political and Correctness were the two words far from writers Parker & Stone when they created this feature length satirically biting look at life through the eyes of Cartman and his friends.
Cursing is the topic on the menu and Canada is to blame (isn't it always) and the profanity on show here although extreme and extended is no different to the controversial hit show of the same.
It's incredibly and consistently funny and I can see how it would appeal to some, just not this reviewer as the humour on show just was not the kind that amuses me, and differs from the, in my opinion, far superior Team America.

Could have and should have been so much more.
Ever wonder what would happen if they got a bunch of the funniest women of SNL fame together to make a film what would happen? Well, apparently, the answer is not much. This movie lags from the get-go with opening jokes that miss their intended marks and continue throughout the film. All the female characters seem to lose any real individuality and just all mesh together in a blob of female stereotypes. Wanted to laugh so hard at all these funny women I've loved for years but found only a couple chuckles and a lot of boredom.

Mind hunting with intelligence.
A great second season, definitely on a par with the first if not slightly better.

Set in the late 1970s and early 80's the story follows the early stages of the Behavioral Science Unit and how they developed the profiling of criminals by talking to the serial killers who were behind bars.

Season 2 managed to top the first and also leave room got some great character development especially with the Tench family storyline. Great acting by everyone involved making it a very cerebral drama with very little action but riveting all the same.
