A feel-good, funny, steamy story!
HEADSHOT is a standalone story in the multi-author series, Model Love. I was happily reunited with some of the fellows from J.P. Sayle's Billionaire’s Playground series. In this story, Kit and Garfield House are under threat from the new owner, who wants to sell it against his deceased uncle's wishes. Jack has bided his time, not wanting to act upon his feelings for Kit until he knows they are returned. But when Garfield is threatened, he will stop at nothing to save it, and show Kit exactly how he feels at the same time.

These two! There is a slight age gap here, but nothing too bad, 'grandpa'! LOL! What you have is a beautiful story about two men who fight to save what is important to them and so many others AND what they might have together too. It was gorgeous!!!

Nanna was here, causing trouble as always, plus ham candles. Nope, I won't explain, you really have to read it! This was so light-hearted in places and yet the sense of what would be lost if Garfield closed was never downplayed.

This was a feel-good, funny, steamy story that I loved from beginning to end. A brilliant addition both to Model Love and also Billionaire's Playground. Highly recommended by me.

The Lego Batman Movie (2017)

So much fun
This may look like a kids film, but it’s just as appealing to adults, especially those of us that are young at heart!

The animation is fantastic, and the jokes are nonstop throughout the entire film, even with Batman narrating the opening credits. The few songs included are funny and so catchy and clever. There’s a lot of references here back to other Batman media (including the shark repellent from the Adam West days) as well as a lot of characters from outside of the DC universe. Not many other films could get away with fitting in gremlins, Sauron and Voldemort! What had me in stitches the most was the characters voicing the gun shot noises - genius!

Pretty average
I hadn’t been expecting much from The Boss Baby, and I’m afraid it pretty much lived up to my expectations.

I love Alec Baldwin voicing the baby, and I think the actual plot idea is fairly imaginative and a good take on families having a new baby. The animation was good although I wouldn’t expect any less from Dreamworks. It’s just a shame the rest of the film is a bit of a let down. It’s been made mostly for kids, so I found little to keep me amused (anything vaguely funny had already been shown in the trailer) and the storyline itself was fairly predictable. It’s one of the many watchable but instantly forgettable animated films.

Want hear the most annoying sound in the world.
Ok. This the Jim Carey we kind of grew up with. Crazy, zany, funny, no limits in this character for him. Jeff Daniels reaches in and pulls out his inner Carey in this wacky film about two idiots who take a cross country trip to return a briefcase to woman they both don't know. I don't believe I have laughed so hard in a theater in my life and I still crack up every time I watch it. I can't wait til one day my daughter is old enough to see it and understand the comedy. Danger lurks around each corner but, being the idiots they are they slip right around it.

Will make you Scream.... For one reason or another!
A gave this a whirl as the cast was impressive and a fan of Slasher films. This is a very bizarre series definitely more at the comedy side than horror. Featuring true Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts of @Scream 4. Almost like a spoof at times. Try thinking of a mix of Clueless, Mean Girls, Scream and Scary Movie. The spoilt rich kid humour won't be for all but the Killer wouldn't look out of place in a real Slasher film and there are a variety of ways he bumps off the brats.

I received a free copy of this book for an unbiased review.

It is my opinion that the book was...okay. Women in particular will relate to the ideas that we feel bad, all day, about everything in our lives. I think men feel the same way about some of the issues in this book. There are so many things we are taught to feel guilty about and we always feel like we are pulled in too many directions. This idea is not new.

The illustrations, while funny, were not breathtaking either. Even those were sort of middle of the road, amusing but not great. The entire book was sort of "blah" for lack of a better word, though "middle of the road" applies, too.

Forgettable characters
One huge commercial
I loved Wreck It, Ralph, so that might be why I wasn't too big of a fan of this sequel. Where the first film had a warmth about it, this one is just cold. The obvious advertisements took away from the story, what little there was of a story. The internet, while supposed to look like a place of wonder, looked dull & uninteresting. Even the Twisted Metal (or GTA) world, was nothing special. And the characters found within were forgettable to say the least. I found over-all the film was okay, but I would watch the first one again & again, while this one, I probably wouldn't watch again at all.
