Utter codswallop
First I have to be honest - for the first time I'm reviewing something that I've not finished watching/playing/reading. However there is a reason for that...I am a massive will Ferrell fan. I love everything he does and especially love the connection he has with John c Reilly. Step brothers and Talladega nights whilst by no means classics thoroughly entertained me. So when I saw they were reuniting again I was excited. So I've never been so disappointed in a film. I managed maybe 45 mins in before I had to give up. Just truly awful. Literally nothing even came close to making me laugh. Lots of poor knob gags and 'funny' accents. Just utterly dreadful - avoid!!!

Just what DC needed
Contains spoilers, click to show
I myself am a huge DC fan boy and over the past couple of years I have seen ups and downs with DC. Finally after Wonder Woman and Aquaman, DC has started to get back into the grove. I have always wanted DC films to be dark and gruesome but Shazam is something of a charmer. It's funny fresh and doesn't try to hard to be something it's not. The characters are brilliant and the Easter eggs throughout the film are brilliant and would make any DC fan scream with delight. It's a great story of an orphan child and the difficulties faced but seeing what a true hero can be is great to see!

Scrappy Little Nobody is a cute, relatable celebrity book. Anna Kendrick charms you with her unique perspective and opens up in ways she hasn't before. The book is not generally funny, nor do I believe it's meant to be, but it has its moments and stories that make you laugh. She is definitely a more normal celebrity who shares some of her confusion about the industry, fashion, and events. You realize its nor all glitz and glamour, but these are real people with emotions, problems and they get just as overwhelmed and pleased as we would if we were receiving an award. It's not the best celebrity book I've read, but it was enjoyable and I recommend it if you're a fan of hers.

Loved this book, caught me at the first page that I forgotten to take note of what town it is placed in for my map. Feels a little cookie-cutter along the lines of Trading Christmas/When Christmas Comes and a few of Debbie Macomber's other holiday books. If you enjoy Debbie Macomber's holiday books you will definitely like this one! I find it funny that in this book and another series I read they both use the last name Sinclair for grouchy millionaires. Have to keep an eye out for more books by Jenny Hale, already signed up for her newsletter.

Loads of little tails aboit returning home
From the post office to garbage disposal this book literaly has everything, it is funny and light hearted but draws you into bill brysons world and you can imagine your sitting having a one to one with him .
I picked this book up purely by accident and couldnt put it down after 15 years of not reading anything more then a newspaper this book re-ignited the world and escapism that reading can bring

Nick and Tesla are helping their uncle finish up the animatronics for the grand reopening of the learnasium in town. However, when the animatronics go haywire, Tesla is certain someone is sabotaging them. Is she right? Can they do stop it before the reopening that night?

This is another delightful entry in the series. The plot is complex enough it kept me interested, and I sailed through in one day. The familiar characters are here and grow a little bit. The new characters are developed, too. And there are lots of funny scenes that kept me grinning and laughing. Just watch out for that Mark Carstairs guy.

Miss Drake is not looking for a new pet, but when 10-year-old Winnie comes into her life, the girl just will not leave her alone. So the dragon takes her on as a project. But a mysterious book will give them more danger than they might be able to handle.

I found this fantasy novel for middle graders inventive and funny. The two main characters were great. Unfortunately, the plot was a little slow for my tastes, although I can imagine the target audience enjoying it.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book via Amazon’s Vine program.

The Perils Of Pauline

NOTE **I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**

At first, I had a hard time relating to Pauline, an ex-military, hockey playing mom on her second marriage. I also had trouble feeling sorry for her since it seemed to me that most of Pauline's perils were, in fact, brought on by her own poor judgement. She grew on me, however, and I soon found myself hoping that everything would work out for her in the end. I couldn't help but laugh both with and at her. This was a quick, funny read that just might leave you thankful that you only have your own problems to worry about, and not Pauline's.

Asgardians of the Galaxy, Vol 2.5
Marvel attempts to fix some of the flaws in Norse mythology, by including a few more spaceships and the Hulk, and also its own series of Thor films, by basically doing another Guardians of the Galaxy-style knockabout comedy. Obviously the former is less controversial than the latter.

Boisterous entertainment, of course; technically extremely accomplished and often very funny indeed. My only issue was that this was the third Marvel Studios movie in a row to basically be played for laughs, and something with a slightly more adventurous tone would have been welcome. But it manages the trick of actually making one excited about seeing more movies with Thor as the main character, so I guess that counts as mission accomplished.
