Danger Shimmering into Disney Parks
In the near future, Eli Whitman is living in EPCOT, which has been designed to fulfill Walt Disney’s original vision for a community. His thirteenth birthday coincides with a solar eclipse, but it’s what happens at his party that is really strange. The video game he and his friends are playing comes to life, and someone jumps out from it, kidnapping him. Can his friends find him? Where is he?

When Ridley Pearson announced he was going to write about the kids of the Kingdom Keepers, I knew I had to find out what he was going to do next. I loved the advances in technology we get with the future setting. There’s plenty of action to keep us turning pages, and I’m curious to see where this saga is going to go next. I did have a little trouble keeping all the characters straight early on, but the important ones quickly emerge as the action starts. And yes, the original Kingdom Keepers we know and love are here, and they have a slightly larger roll than I was expecting, which was wonderful. I’m already anxious to see where the characters are going to find themselves next.

Beautifully written period drama
I knew nothing about this book and picked it purely on how pretty the cover was, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

I struggled to get into it initially as I'm not the biggest fan of period dramas, however I persevered and was glad I did. It is a very well written and intriguing story, although sadly lacking slightly in engaging characters - I found I didn't really care about any of them, and the ending was mostly a disappointment. Still the writing and ideas are excellent, and I'd be glad to read more of Sarah Perry's work in future.

Josh Clark and Charles (Chuck) Bryant are the very charming co-hosts for a very informative Podcast. They wander off on little tantrums that I find rather endearing. Stuff you should know covers a multitude of topics, common and not so common. My favorite episodes are the Halloween story time they have. I also really enjoyed the How a Flea Circus Works and The Future of Renewable Energy where they did a rare interview (which I usually hate with a passion) with Bill Gates. If random knowledge is something you love to have and share this is a podcast for you.

I won this book as a First Reads giveaway on Goodreads. I had never read any of the Nick Heller series so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Let me begin by saying I was pleasantly surprised. The book is well written with deep, meaningful characters. It was filled with nonstop action and enough suspense for three books. I think I havediscovered a new favorite series! Nick Heller is comprable to Berry's Cotton Malone without being an obvious knock-off. I truly enjoyed this book & will be looking for more Joseph Finder books in the future.

Naughty Mabel makes her return with this second volume, which I found a huge improvement over her first story (Nathan Lane is such a comedy genius, and for him to resort to fart humor, regardless of how funny kids will find it, left me disappointed). This time out, Mabel is seeing things, which makes her inherent naughtiness even worse, and until her parents can figure out why she's seeing things, Mabel continues to wreak havoc. Dan Krall's illustrations are perfect once again, and I'm actually now hoping that we'll be seeing more of Mabel in the future.

A future classic
I first bought this book years ago when I was waiting for my bus. The cover had been peeking out at me and the blurb cried out. Information on it was scant but I had a feeling it was going to be good.

High Howey's impressive and, originally, self-published sci-fi is a must-read for fans of the genre. There are plenty twists and turns to keep you going and they become even more important the more you get through the series.

A great retelling of Cinderella's story. Set in the future the world is struggling against a deadly disease that has no known cure. As the disease spreads faster the royal family is also in hostile negotiations with the splinter society living on the moon called Luna. Cinder is a cyborg living with an adopitve family in a world where cyborgs and androids are property. Multiple circumstances lead to Cinder landing in jail and her whole life being turned upside down.

fantastic read
This is the second book this series by this author. You definitely need to read these books in order. This is a second chance romance read from this author. Amazing, lovable characters, you just root for all the way through the book. These characters have such intense chemistry between them. This story just pulls you in right from the start and keeps you reading until the very end. I can't wait to read more in this series and by this author in the future.
