Obsessed book reviews (49 KP) rated Make Me Yours (Men of Gold Mountain, #4) in Books

This is the forth book in this series by this series. This is a emotional roller coaster of a story. This is a second chance romance which will have you laughing, smiling and crying as you read. This author has a fab way of bringing the characters out in the story. The characters were fantastic and really well written. I just couldn't put them down till I'd finished the book. I can't wait for more in this series and by this author in the future.

This is the second book in this series by this author. This is a romantic suspense read. This book will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finished. The story flows really well and really easy to follow. The characters are complexed and well written. This book picks up after book 1 finishes. This book offers plenty of suspense, surprises and very hot and sexy scenes. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

The technology on show (1 more)
Good SFX for the budget
A great Upgrade
I saw this the other night after seeing good reviews for it. I'm not sure if it got a cinema release in the UK? It's a great Australian made film. A bit like a sci-fi Deathwish mixing humans with advanced Ai technology and body enhancements. The technology shown in the film, set in the near future, is really good and not far from what is available. This made the film more interesting. Throw in some good action and SFX and you have a great film that went under the radar.

This series confronts the fears many women have feared in the past and still fear today. Facing a possible reality of the removal of rights to reproduction and anonymity the women of this future thought it was all but a joke. Suddenly a fundamentalist government takes power and dictates the lives of the women who are "blessed" enough to still be fertile. I recommend this series to all women and men who might not understand the fears other women have about having reproductive choices being removed as a personal choice but still have an open mind to hear those fears.

Interesting premise, writing got in the way.
I wanted to like this book. Managed to get through it in a few sittings, but it was a struggle. All but one of the women were unrelatable and shallowly formed. Frustrating that they were reduced to “titles” with their names seldom acknowledged.
Overall, it didn’t really spark any new thoughts on a complex issue, nor did it offer any resolution or new commentary about what an overturn of Roe v Wade would have on society.
Very disappointing. Not recommended.

The Temple of Indras Jewel is the first book in the Time Traveling Bibliophile series.
A potion meant to help Princess Sapphira communicate with the future somehow pulls Sophia back through time. As Sophia struggles to understand what has happened to her, she realizes that Sapphira had been in danger. Since everyone believes her to be Princess Sapphira, she is now in danger herself. She also finds that Sapphira left behind several suitors, not all of whom have honorable intentions. This was a fun read, and Im looking forward to the rest of the series.

Quite possibly my favourite film of all time
I love this film. While it is slightly dated, and bears next to no resemblance to the Richard Bachman book on which it was based, it is such a fun, action-packed and surprisingly thought-provoking film. The use of convicts in light entertainment is a subject that has been explored elsewhere in the media (Black Mirror for one) but for me this nails my vision of what we'll be watching in future - it isn't that far from Love Island, just with less willing contestants and slightly more fighting.

This book picks up exactly where the last one ended and tells the story of the characters from the original series about 10 years later.
It is told through a multiple perspective so we get to know a lot of the original characters very well and see if their dreams of the future came true and how they ended up where they are today.
There are a few new characters and some characters from before become a lot more important.
A great way to continue the series but you do need to have read the previous books.
