Leocadia arrives home from school to find her mom’s body. Unaware that the killer still lingers, she rushes to her mother’s side, only to be grabbed from behind. And everything fades to black.

Leo has been battling personal demons after a year of retrograde amnesia. She’s been having vivid dreams of that day. And her dreams are getting worse—she’s starting to remember. Two more bodies are discovered and they are oddly linked to her mom’s unsolved homicide.

Leo befriends her new neighbor. He’s eager to visit Star Hallow’s notorious haunted mansion. It’s located on a deserted cul-de-sac where she once lived and where her mom was murdered. But it’s the Lucien Estate, the mansion next door to her old home, where they happen upon misty ghosts, ghosts that just might help to unravel the homicides.

Will Leo's memories send her reeling into a relapse, or will she be able to overcome her demons to find her mother’s killer – only to become the next victim?

It was good a very simple story and a little predictable. There was a lack of excitement and spark but it wasn’t a bad read.

It’s not something I would read but I received this eBook in the February Fresh Fiction Book Box and this is the first book I decided to start and I loved it. The perfect amount of humor from some of the ghosts and I love the developing friendship between P.I. Melissa Kennedy and Detective Daniel Forrester they make a great team which I can see is going to turn to romance further in the series I just hope I don’t have to wait too long for the second book which is out sometime in the summer.

My Ride or Die Podcast

I have been listening to this podcast since the first episode came out and I am always impressed by every episode that is released. Not only is the final product amazing, but the work that goes into creating the podcast is always so impressive. The Astonishing Research Core (ARC) puts in so much effort and help create such an amazing show that I look forward to listening every week. The Astonishing Legends podcast isn't just about ghosts or UFOs, but covers such a wide variety of podcasts if the weird and unexplained, there will be something for you!!

I love the Muppets.
This film is the best of many retellings of Dickens classic ghost tale.
Gonzo is my favourite as Charles Dickens, his narration along with Rizzlo the rat is humorous and fun.
Kermit as Bob Crachit as the lead book keeper is amusing and his team of rats are hilarious.
Michael Caine plays Scrooge who's path of redemption is believable as he is visted by three ghosts who show Scrooge the errors of his ways.
Also, the songs are catchy.
Disney tried other versions but none can top this one. A true Christmas classic to watch every year.

Thought-provoking

Thoroughly enjoyable podcast that covers all of my favourite subjects, i.e. true crime, cults, cryptids, UFOs, ghosts... I've listened for years and still look forward to each new release. Marcus is a master when it comes to compiling each show and provides strong, clear narrative throughout. Most of the time they successfully strike the right balance between serious and fun. The only downside for me is Henry going off at too much of a tangent sometimes! Finally the hosts are all loving dog-dads, and mental health advocates, which just makes me like them even more.
