My favourite app (sorry Smashbomb)
I’ve been a member of goodreads for a fair few years now and I quite honestly cant stand the thought of not having it now.

It’s a brilliant place to keep track of all your reading, make ‘shelves’ to save books you like the look of, books you have, books you’ve read.. the possibilities are endless!

As well as this, there are features such as adding friends (and having little competitions to see who can reach their reading goal first), setting yearly reading challenges, looking up a book you might like and seeing the reviews to decide if to get it. There are groups to speak to likeminded people.

Many a time I have spent *cough* hours *cough* just sat scrolling through books and I LOVE it.

If there are any readers out there who haven’t discovered the joys of Goodreads yet then what are you waiting for?? Go!!

(Also feel free to add me on there;))

Snakewood’s first little bit (the intro and the first scene) started out really good, but it kept switching over to other little scenes and narrators, and I couldn’t figure out what was going on. The text was full of Jargon (terms you would understand only if you worked the field) and it was hard to follow. I gave up after about an hour of listening. Just to make sure I wasn’t an idiot, I went on goodreads to see what others have said about the book and I discovered I wasn’t the only one.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

I loved this book!! It is heavily influenced by Sherlock Holmes (whom I love). Fans of Sherlock and classic detective books will love this book.

I love how short & sweet this book is, yet it is able to fit the full story in. Also, I am a big fan of books with short chapters. For some reason, it makes me read them faster, haha.

The plot and two main characters felt real.

I'll definitely be reading more of this author and this series. =)

I received this book for free through GoodReads First Reads. I read the summary of this book and knew I had to read it! I absolutely loved it, and I can not fault it all. The plot will leaving you hanging on the edge of your seat (or bed as I always read in bed, lol). The characters are so well developed. I felt as if I was actually part of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone no matter what genre you like. You won't be disappointed.

I love the ability that Goodreads gives you to not only find books, but the way they catalog what you’ve read to make suggestions on what to read next. The community itself is pretty good at book recommendations as well. (0 more)
It’s gone a bit sideways since Amazon bought it out, in my opinion. There are more ads, and if your kindle is connected they like to monitor you closely because they seem to think of you know an author on any platform, you’re giving false reviews. (0 more)
A great place to find books!

I received this book through Goodreads Giveaway. This is a super cute book. It is written simply but in a way that kids of all ages can appreciate it. I teach 10 and 11-year-olds and they loved the book. They loved the way the book was presented with text and high-quality pictures to accompany the text. The adventure the suitcase goes on allows for the reader to want to read more books to see where the suitcase goes on his around the world trip.

Best App to Track Reading & Personal Library Management
This is by far one of my favorite apps on my phone. I love using the app to keep track of books that I have read and books that I own. I also love the integration that the app has with my Kindle. It makes it easy for me to keep track of the books I have read and also to find new books that I am interested in. If you are a reader, you need to be on Goodreads.

Book works paradise
I love using Goodreads to keep track of all the different books I read. It is my favorite app, not just for setting and tracking goals, but for finding new authors, discovering new genres, and figuring out where a series starts. It has saved me hours and money by telling me in what order a series goes, as well as little inbetween stories to read. I love how simple and user friendly it is, and that you can sync it with your kindle

*This is really closer to 4.5 stars for me, seriously Goodreads we need the half stars!*
I loved the atmospheric prose here, it truly felt like reading an old school fairy tale. Not the happily ever after Disney variety, more along the lines of the dark Grimm tales. Totally unique story, with solid world building and great characters. This is one I see myself reading again and again and finding something new each time.

**Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for the DRC! All opinions are my own.**

I won this ARC from a Goodreads Giveaway and had been looking forward to reading it. However, I was pretty disappointed with this book, with all the great buzz that had been created so far. I would give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. For all the drama I felt like it really lacked excitement until the last three chapters and it still was wrapped up extremely quickly once you reached the part that was a real page turner. I did enjoy the chapter switch from each character narrative.
