Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - Part One

I was thrilled when Netflix picked up the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, I really liked the horror comic, the original comics, and the goofy 90s/00s television show.
This show was sufficiently creepy, and provided me with straight nightmare fuel, as I found out last night. Sabrina was very much the same character as she has been all along, a teenager that makes slightly questionable decisions while trying to do the right thing.
The opening titles comprised of the original art from the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina graphic novel, as well as her first intro panel in the original Sabrina comic.

If you haven't seen it yet, shame on you!

Jim Carrey offers up his legendary goofy antics in this portrayal of the dark horse comics character, Stanley Ipkiss aka The Mask.
Filled with unforgettable scenes and quotes that are still used by everyday people, The Mask was a hit with audiences of all ages with the characters over the top green faced expressions and ridiculous costumes that followed.
Although not as dark as it's comic book material, the movie is an old gem that's still tickling those funny bones.

No disassemble Number 5!
I remember when I saw this movie at the theatre in 1986 when it was the 2nd half of a double feature. I don't even remember what the first movie was any more.

I love this movie beyond words. The goofy humor of the robot, his interactions with Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg, and even GW Bailey playing the always bad guy.

Some of the robot's one liners were just precious! "You're mamma was a snowblower!"

Probably one of those 80s movies you had to be alive then to appreciate, but still a classic!

Watched this horror/comedy "crazed killer" movie on Netflix(not exclusive). The cinematography was fine. The acting was over the top (purposefully, I believe). The story was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in a movie. It starts out simple enough, but just gets weirder and weirder as it goes on. The characters aren't exactly "deep". I wouldn't recommend this for kids(because of some gross scenes-your call) but if you're into dark comedy horrors, you'll enjoy this one. I managed to finish it(with a lot of eye rolling and a few chuckles). The end had me smh(goofy). It's worth a watch if you're bored.

Not really a Civilization game, but close. The game pieces leave something to be desired. (0 more)
Quick Tableau Builder
This is a quick game that is as close to a Civilization game can get in 30 minutes or so. Players could end up taking long turns, if they are overthinking their turns. Enjoy, the fast pace of the game and just play tactically, not strategically. There is quite a bit of luck in which cards show up, but it shouldn't matter. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, neither should you, just enjoy the short engaging brain tickle this game gives.

"Insane and amazing corporate nightmares. My dad took me to see this when I was only ten, which was maybe not the best parenting decision. I was already devouring all manner of movies by then, but I don’t think I’d seen anything that was so funny and so shocking at the same time. It’s a popular film, but it still strikes me as weirdly underrated and misunderstood. Oddly, the regular R-rated version is way more hard-hitting than this uncut one. It turns out the ultraviolent stuff they had to cut out of the movie was so over the top, it sort of made it goofy."
