It's quite an intense read
The layout can be a little confusing at times.
Great Spin on your normal "Super Hero" Graphic Novels

• Characters appear older than they are
• Can't exactly understand what's going on if you just read the graphic version, but a good recap for those who have read the novels
• More detailed than the PJO versions, so there's that?

I'm generally not one for graphic novels, but I thought this was well done. Many of my students are reading this series so I thought I would see what the hype was about. The artwork is beautiful. It is very easy to read and follow.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GRAPHIC NOVEL. Obviously, caps-lock was needed. Super Fun Sexy Times by Meredith McClaren is not your typical graphic novel, nor is it something that is going to be for everyone. It's graphic, and I do mean graphic so that that into consideration. The artwork beautiful, but the content takes the cake on how amazing this book is. This book is full of consent, sweet, fun, and sexy consent. I loved that we saw characters negotiating role play scenes & realistically talking about sex. I also truly appreciated how inclusive this book was. You have people of all shapes, sizes, sexual orientation, etc. which made me want to cry with how beautiful it was.

This is definitely a book I would recommend to the right reader. It is well worth the read & a book that I'm going to have to buy a hard copy of.

Another fantastic album from Coheed, including some of their best material: from Welcome Home (an acoustic opening that Metallica would be proud of) to the beautiful Wake Up. To understand the album title, you have to appreciate the world of Amory Wars, the graphic novels accompanying the music.

I found the way Dresden was drawn distracting here, because he wasn't raw-boned enough, and he was too handsome. There just wasn't enough story, either - and the fact that there's art isn't enough to make up for that. Not sure I'll read any of the other Dresden Files Graphic Novels.

I love this game - a great investigative story, with brilliant characters, and great gameplay. Probably my favourite one of Telltale's games, and highly recommended.

Adapted from the novel by Rick Riordan, The Lightning Thief: The Graphic Novel by Robert Venditti follows Percy Jackson as he journeys with Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood across the US to retrieve Zeus’ lightning bolt before the summer solstice.

As an avid fan of the novels in middle school when the movie was in production, I was curious about the graphic novel version. When I first read The Lightning Thief: The Graphic Novel shortly after it came out, I just enjoyed myself. Reading it now with a more critical eye, I still enjoyed the adaptation, considering how poor the movies were. The graphic novel remains faithful to Riordan’s book and while most of the main storyline is still included, it does cut out some scenes and the story would have been better if it were longer.

In addition to the briefness of the graphic novel, I also noticed during my second read that the characters appear to be much older than they really are. There were moments in the story where if I didn’t read the original novels or knew the plot really well, I would have forgotten that Percy and many of the other characters are around 12 years old.

Overall, The Lightning Thief: The Graphic Novel is perfect for those who are avid fans of Riordan’s original series and want a recap, but not the greatest intro for those who want to read the graphic version before the novels.
