"After the sudden death of her father, Helen Macdonald managed her grief by taming a goshawk. The wild un-language of grief finds expression here. And there’s more; our relationship with creatures not us. How we read the past without re-writing it. How we learn to love – and why we might not want to do that. Painful, remarkable, redemptive, this book hovers over my heart and suddenly drops on it. Caught."

Not as good as Skyfall, bit I don't understand why this film gets so much grief. Waltz made the perfect arch nemesis, the action was amazing, and it felt like classic bond

"This tender memoir follows Potts’ life-swap from criminal barrister to patisserie chef in the wake of her mother’s death. It’s filled with the comfort we all seek when dealing with grief."

A complicated look at grief and change
This movie... Is hard to talk about. Not because it is poorly done, but because you feel so conflicted after you watch it. I was pretty disinterested in the beginning of this film, but once I reached the end of the film, I cried. The film feels a little disjointed and slow, but if you can get into it, it is a beautiful exploration of grief, love and change.

"One of the most moving books I have read in recent years. It investigates a father’s suspended state of unexpected loss and grief with a gorgeously wry sense of humor. Captivating, poetic, and surprising."
