The storyline in general is very good and it stays true to real life when the scene is described as it's set primarily in Brighton, England. Peter James has a very good descriptive style with his work and it definitely shows with this story. (1 more)
This book is very gripping and it definitely keeps you engaged and wanting to read more.
The one thing that I'd comment on is the ending. It felt like it ended very abruptly to me in the way the main character is caught. (0 more)

An Exciting Tale To Hear Unfold
The first season of this show was great. Once you get over the annoying host, there is a gripping and exciting story to be told here. The second season was okay, but nowhere near as gripping or exciting as the first and I gave up on S-Town after one episode.

Absolutely gripping and a great start to what I imagine is going to be an excellent new detective series and with a narrator that absolutely nailed it!

Excellent story, gripping plot, brilliant characters, perfect setting, a pace that is spot on with oodles of tension and a narrator that only adds to the suspense.

Definitely recommended and I very much look forward to following this series and thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for enabling me to listen to and share my thoughts of The Girls on Chalk Hill.

Jennifer Lawrence scores
Gripping from start to finish. A victim of a lecherous manipulative relative, Jennifer goes from victim to victor in this deliberately paced drama. She can act and is sexy as can be!
