Another interpretation of Invasion of the body snatchers. This was an ok thriller, well made with a good cast. It just lacks any real punch, it's not tense, gripping or scary in any way. A missed opportunity really. I'd recommend The Faculty instead as that is a much more fun film, also influenced by the body snatchers.
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2200 KP) rated Out of the Shadows (Nick Barrett, #1) in Books

The first in a Christian mystery trilogy, Nick returns to Charleston to face the mysteries of his past, specifically his mother's disappearance when he was a pre-teen. A gripping story that dragged just slightly in the middle.

Gripping story, I loved every page, this is my first read of Rebecca 's and it won't be my last. This is more Fantasy/military romance and I'm not a big fan of super solders with super powers but wow, this was brill I need to read the next one in this super hot sexy series.
Dean (6926 KP) rated Shattered (Butterfly on a Wheel) (2007) in Movies
Sep 10, 2018
A pretty decent thriller, although not surprised it was straight to DVD. Saying that it does have a strong well known cast but just has a low budget feel to it. It's watchable especially if you like any of the actors but just not as intense or gripping as better thrillers. Called Butterfly on a wheel in the UK.

I received an ARC from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
This was a fast paced and very thought-provoking read. It was believable, dark, intense and mirrors numerous true life events. I highly recommend this book to those that are interested in family dramas that are gripping and well constructed.

Good, but not 100% gripping
The storyline kept me reading, but it wasn't one of those books that you can't put done. I would definitely put it on my bookshelf at home, but there's still something that leaves me wanting more.
As a fan of Science Fiction, I'm glad I won this giveaway because it was definitely something new!

A gripping read
I picked this book up at supermarket as it caught my attention. When I got home I started to read immediately and was completely drawn in. Taking every opportunity to delve back in. Fantastic plot. A great read. Well written. You never know what really goes on behind closed doors.
