I remember growing up with Winnie the Pooh. Even today, I read the books to my students. I was very pleased with how the movie turned out. I love how Winnie remembered Christopher Robin for who he was as a child. It was pleasing to see how the characters remained after so many years and incorporated into the real world.

My absolute favorite book and book series. I first read this book when I was about 12 and fell in love with all the characters and avonlea. Anne an orphan girl goes to live with a brother and sister marilla and Matthew Cuthbert and it is all about Anne's adventures in her new home and the trials and tribulations of growing up.
Dean (6925 KP) rated Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010) in Movies

The first of 3 films, about a kid trying to fit in at middle school. Everyone can relate to a large part of the film. Starting a new school, with older kids, growing up and trying to fit in. It has a few childish moments meant to be funny for very young viewers perhaps. Overall a decent family comedy film.

I listened to this book through Audible and I must say it was an excellent read. It really let you get to see what Bryan went through when he was growing up and it was written in such a relate-able that you can't help but smile. Listening to him talk about his failures, and his success was wonderful. Absolutely a fun read.
Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Happy Hour of the Damned (Amanda Feral, #1) in Books

Imagine a Mean Girl growing into a Mean Woman. Then, imagine this Mean Woman turning into a zombie. That's Amanda Feral. This book is hilarious, disgusting, and adorably snotty.
Amanda's friend goes missing so she teams up with her zombie friend Wendy to track her down. This book provides one of the, uh, most interesting depictions of burlesque I've ever read.
