"It’s a French movie, pretty recently that I just – and I’m not alone, it was, like, the biggest movie of the year around the world – but I just love it so much. It’s so great. It’s about a friendship between two guys: one who is a super rich guy who is a paraplegic and his caretaker, and the friendship that comes of that working relationship. It’s funny, it’s real, it’s sweet, it’s moving. I cried, l laughed — it’s just a brilliant film. And I’m not surprised it did as well as it did. It’s so good, it’s so good."

2.5 stars.

I thought this was okay, I liked the humour, but it also fell a little flat for me.

There was no real build up in the romance, it seemed to just appear when Gabriel decided he liked the smell of her and then they were kissing. Add in a sort of second love interest and jealousy was in abundance.

I can't say I connected with the characters or the story but I decided to finish it. The best bit for me was probably the cat-fight at the end and the guys' comments about it.

After reading this for a second time I can now give a fair review.

This book is so unique in its plot. It takes us on a journey through Paris while weaving a tale of action, intrigue and romance. Natalie combines both fantasy and other famous fictional characters to enhance the story and I loved it :D

You come to like the characters and will them on in their journey of discovering who the bad guys are.

It is a really enjoyable read and I will be sure to re-read the second one now too :D

3.5 stars, mainly because I got a bit confused in the middle bit, where the guys were trying to keep them away from Colby but treating them as friends and getting closer to them at the same time. Probably just me.

Other than that though I liked it. I liked the whole 'forever' thing, finding that one thing that you can do forever that'll make you happy. Going after what you want. Falling in love slowly. Meeting lots of great new friends. Growing up and realising that what you thought as first isn't always right. And lots of surfing.
