The Girl's Got Secrets (Forbidden Men, #7)

Asher has grown on me so much over the last couple of books and I enjoyed reading this. It was so cute, the relationship that popped up between Asher and Sticks/Remy. Proper guys chat and stuff. I also quite liked the Elisa thing, too, though it added an extra level of crap to lies she was telling. BUT I wanted them to get together so badly, I didn't care. I've even just staying d up till gone 1am so I can find out what happens with these two and I'm a happy bunny. They got there in the end.

Off to start the next book in the series!!

Huh...2.5 stars.

As mentioned in my previous N.R. Walker review, I seem to love all her books...apart from this one. I don't know what it was about it but i was a little bored by it.

I don't know if it's due to the other M/M series I've just read, where they were rather naughty questionable straight guys who ended up in gay relationships but this paled in comparison to the excitement I felt for the other stories.

It's probably unfair to compare them but that's the kind of mood I'm in right now.

It was far too sweet and gentle for me.

I thought some of this book was ridiculous but i fell in love with it anyway. Especially Roman and his relationship with Kasha. Oh, and her robotic arm. Not that i didnt love the rest of the cast but those two were my favourites. These girls got up to some right mischief but still managed to win two amazingly hot guys. I was in stitches quite a few times with their exploits and didnt want to put the book down at all.

Definitely recommend this if you like contemporary romances with quite a lot of humour in them. I look forward to reading more books by these authors.

3.5 stars, mainly because Suzanne's books can be too long for my liking a lot of the time and because I got fed up of reading the sex scenes.

I'm pretty picky about my shifter books, preferring vampires to shapeshifters most days, and this one was good but I felt it went on too long.

Character wise I think I liked Marcus the most, though I couldn't really explain why. I also liked Dante. In fact, most of the guys were pretty cool but I did have favourites.

Other than wanting to read book 4, Marcus' book, I haven't decided if I want to read the rest of the series yet.

Those first 80 pages or so were a real struggle for me. I found Margot and Lara Jean both really annoying, especially Margot. She's supposed to be all selfless but I found here quite the opposite so when she finally went to Scotland I was very happy.

I then pretty much devoured the book once LJ's letters got posted out and her love interests made appearances. I was very much cheering her on with both guys but there was something about Peter...and then it ended without a conclusion, or even a HFN.

So I really need to buy the second book in the series to find out what happens next.

I read the first book [b:No Weddings|22052891|No Weddings (No Weddings, #1)|Kat Bastion|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1406701175s/22052891.jpg|41380159] back in 2014 and i really liked it then. Now, i dont read so many contemporary romances but i did want to see what happened next with these guys.

I do love Hannah and Cade together but the fact that their will-they/won't-they thing has been stretched into two books before they finally get around to doing the deed and then their story continues into two more stories...well, I'm not sure if I want to continue their tale.

With a storyline like this I expected to be more emotionally involved in Zach and David's story, but I found it quite hard in that respect.

I felt sorry for Zach for his ordeal and for David over the guilt he felt. I also felt sorry for the possible romance they missed out on with Zach's disappearance.

That being said I didn't really connect with them or the story.

I did like the interaction between the two guys; some of the things they said to each other in their more tender moments were really sweet.

I'd definitely consider reading more books by the author.

Black Christmas (2019)
Black Christmas (2019)
2019 | Horror
I have seen so many films like this that rely on political commentary in an inappropriate way, so I've come up with an outline that I will be filling out as a review for all of them.

Dear Black Christmas, if you are going to use political commentary as your main talking and plot point, it is essential that you use it in a classy and substance filled way. You did not do that, so please fade away into eternity. I especially didn't like the Brett Kavanaugh line, so please get over yourself and make your political commentary make sense. I root for you guys, but you make it very hard.
