Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Under Locke in Books

I fell in love with Dex in this so quickly. It was pretty clear that he had feelings for Iris from early on and I was glad we didn't have to wait until 95%+ for them to get together like in some of the authors other stories.
I'm not a big fan of reading books that centre around MC's but this one is no longer the rule breaking, drug smuggling, beating-people-up club that it used to be and they are actually all pretty decent guys so I actually enjoyed reading about them going straight.
I also have a big thing for tattoo's so them working in a tattoo shop was pretty cool--I still think she should have gone ahead and let Slim or Dex tattoo the rainbow breathing dragon on her.
I cannot wait to read more of Mariana's books.

A non stop action film

The raid- takes it to the top level, with its story, its charcters, its action, and more.
A rookie member of an elite team of commandos, Rama is instructed to hang back while his comrades-in-arms go ahead with their mission to take down a brutal crime lord called Tama. However, the team's cover is blown, and Tama offers sanctuary to every criminal in his high-rise apartment block in exchange for the cops' heads. Now Rama must take command and lead his remaining team on an ultraviolent charge through the building to complete -- and survive -- the mission.
Its about surviving, living and making it to tomorrow. Rama must make him and his team through the building, through the bad guys and hopelly survive to see tomorrow and successed the mission.
A high recommended.

Emma @ The Movies (1786 KP) rated Every Day (2018) in Movies

A shy teenager falls for someone who transforms into another person every day.
David Levithan knows how to write around good subject matter. Consistently pleasing novels that make excellent movies. And this one was no exception to that.
The feel good factor about this one is high. And while I love a good romance I find it difficult to believe that even a hormonal teenager would choose to believe such a wild story.
"I wake up every morning in someone else's body." A plot point with lots of potential story lines. But lots that I think I would have enjoyed more than this. That fact doesn't take away that I enjoyed this a lot.
A film with no end and no beginning though... why are you guys doing this to me? Where was the origin story? Where was some resolution?

I've read quite a few of Feehan's paranormal books and enjoyed them so the chance to read a contemporary book by her? Sure, why not.
I enjoyed this more than I expected. MC's can be hit and miss for me but this one worked well for me. It had a touch of unusual talents, almost paranormal abilities, in some of the guys and I liked that. It was interesting in how connected they all were, how in sync... There were some dark themes throughout this book so it isn't for the faint hearted.
Add in the romance, and although he could be a bit domineering, I actually really liked that side of the story too.
Very intrigued about the rest of the members and the women/men who will claim them. Can't wait to read more.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Gentlemen Prefer Succubi (Succubus Diaries, #1) in Books

3.5 stars. I liked it. It made me smile/chuckle a few times.
I liked the two guys and I have to admit it's a tough decision to make between Noah and Zane as both are great in their own way. I'm intrigued as to what will happen later on in the series with these three.
The rest of the story, though, the Egyptology stuff, is not my thing at all and I kinda just skipped over those bits especially near the end, when I just wanted them to find the halo.
I haven't read too many books/series based on succubi so I enjoyed this tale. The addition of angels and vampires only added to my enjoyment and the wittiness of the characters at times was fun reading.
I definitely think I'll be picking up on the series at a later date.
