Moana (2016)
2016 | Adventure, Animation, Comedy
Ive said it before and I'll say it again - I'm not a fan of musicals, and Moana isn't a film that's going to change my mind on that. However, as it's goes with Disney more often or not, there's plenty of good stuff here that make it an enjoyable adventure.

It has a decent and easy to follow plot, and a strong female lead for a start. The titular character is easy to like and root for, as are all the characters come to think of it. Dwayne Johnson's character Maui starts off as a douche but he's not so bad by the end.
The whole film looks incredible. The animation is bursting with colour, the water in particular looks great. There are some great set pieces that take full advantage of this - especially the neon drenched scene with Tamatoa, and the films climax looks fantastic as well.

The musical numbers just didn't do anything for me. I didn't hate any of the songs (the 'I AM MOANAAA' bit was pretty badass), but it's mostly just little too cheesy for my taste, much like Frozen was.

Overall though, Moana is a pretty good time, with a nice Disney approved moral heart, and I'm sure it will stand up alongside the many other Disney classics for years to come.

The Body in Sparks’s Apartment
When Iris Sparks returns to her apartment one night after work, she is shocked to find an unexpected visitor. It’s someone she is less than happy to see, especially since she thought the person was out of her life for good. After quickly going to the Bainbridge’s for the night, she thinks things are behind her again – until a body is discovered in her living room. Who was the victim? And who committed the murder?

If you have yet to meet the ladies of The Right Sort Marriage Bureau, I don’t suggest you start here. Despite the prologue, which has a scene two days before the story really starts (yep, still hate that literary technique), the book takes some time getting into the mystery. Instead, we get some updates in the ongoing soap opera infused storylines. But, as a fan, I was there for it. Things only pick up once the murder happens. Despite my focus on Iris in the teaser, Gwen gets plenty of her own moments to shine, and the plot couldn’t have been solved without both of them. And they continue to be two compelling leads I can’t wait to spend more time with soon. Fans looking to catch up will be as hooked on this entry as I was.

🌶🌶🌶

I know I have a reputation as a playboy. And I like my reputation.

The only reason I agreed to go on a blind date was because I was promised two Knicks tickets for my time.

But I never expected for her to pass on me. Me? Are you kidding?

I'm going to prove to her that she made a mistake. I give it a week until she begs me to make good on my promises. Then I'll say goodbye to her long legs and sassy tongue and perfect...

What the hell? Why don't I want to say goodbye?

This book kinda stressed me out I’m not one for 2 star reviews I hate doing them but I like to think I review honestly. I managed to get through the whole book somehow it kept me reading. But the two main characters were just not good for me. Again this is my honest opinion. She was annoying and Mason was just a pig even him turning it around at the end I still didn’t like him he was just not appealing at all. So so as I really wanted to like it. The story just seemed forced and long winded.
