Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2165 KP) rated Hell Hole (John Ceepak Mystery, #4) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When John Ceepak sees something suspicious at a soldier's suicide, he and Danny begin investigating. But who would want to kill a hero? I love these characters, and the plot had me confused until the end.

Dean (6925 KP) rated Mr. Woodcock (2007) in Movies
Dec 24, 2018
An average comedy with a strong cast line up. Pretty much run of the mill jokes about the son who disapproves of his Mum's new man. It turns out to be the gym instructor who made his life hell at school. Has a few funny moments but not nearly enough of them, especially for the talented line up!

For a short story/novella, this had everything that's included in Jenn Bennett's full length novels in this series; a mystery, some romance, and Jupe being Jupe :D
This was the boat trip from hell. Everything that could go wrong, did. Storms, demons, Jupe...
A great instalment in a series that I love. Straight onto book 3!

Rolling Stone's 304th greatest album of all time
I'd always avoided listening to this album because it is almost like you're not allowed to not like it. The slightly obsessive cult status of the album made me worried to express my opinion on something I knew I wouldn't like. Ah to hell with it:
Dreary crap.
Dreary crap.
Rolling Stone's 393rd greatest album of all time
Superb rap and modern "world music" album, featuring the awesome Paper Planes (sampling the Clash's Straight to Hell) and another standout track 20 Dollar, which takes excerpts from Pixies' Where Is My Mind?
Including a range of Indian and African inspirations and MIA's phenomenal vocals, this is a really interesting album.
