I didn’t get into this one quite as fast as others, got a little tired of the high school drama, but once the mysteries picked up I was right back into it. I really love this series and I’m sad that it’s over, but I was satisfied by the ending.

"A bittersweet documentary that follows the lives of two gifted basketball players from Chicago as they work their way through the ranks of high school b-ball programs and onward. One of the best docs I can think of, and a very necessary look at sociological issues surrounding America’s beautiful game."

"I first saw Dazed and Confused the day I got my driver’s license. It was like an instruction film on what was in store for me. I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They were in Texas. This movie was my exact high school experience if you just replace Kiss with Phish."

I got way too emo reading this book
Did I read the final story about everyone reminiscing before the Ascensions the night before my own high school graduation? I might have. These stories came with me through some of the strangest and darkest years of my life (*cough* high school *cough*), and this book felt like a perfect way to tie up the couple of loose ends left by City of Heavenly Fire.

This was an interesting read that kept me guessing the entire time. I give Thomas points for its twistiness, as it was an engrossing read. These were some very complicated high school kids. I couldn't help but think that that Kacey was a little too involved in wanting to find her friend and that the high school drama seemed incredibly intense, even for the purposes of a novel. Maybe I'm just naive, but these girls were in deep. There is nothing quite so dark, at times, as the friendship of teenage girls.

Overall, I enjoyed trying to piece things together in this story, even if some of the overly dramatic parts turned me off a bit.

Spider-Man is successfully integrated into the Marvel cinematic universe, teasing great future films and establishing an awesome first villain for Peter and giving him the normal high school struggles of a real teenager (0 more)
There is some frustration to be said about Spider-Man suit being too high tech and not solely created by Peter, but his webslingers and superstrength alone when his suit was taken is still redeeming for the film. (0 more)

It gets better

This is an high school romance with a twist. Emerson can read minds when she kisses or gets kissed. She uses this so called gift to do better in school by kissing all of the smartest boys. Until she finds out she is crushing on one.
While I loved the premise the execution made it seem more obsessive than it needed to be. If I enjoyed lip gloss I'm sure I would have liked it more.

"I found out about them from a friend in high school between my junior and senior year. He didn't know how to describe them except it sort of sounded like The Rolling Stones. I listened and I didn't hear that. It had that rootsiness to it maybe and that slight psychedelicness to it. I've listened to this album thousands of times but I don't have all of their records and I don't know what came before or after, but I do love this one. It's just a vibe the entire time. I remember being with that guy who told me about them on our way to high school one day. We were supposed to be at school at 8:30 in the morning and we met at 7:30 in the morning under some bridge to drink beer before we went to school. This is what we were listening to. I only did that once and it wasn't as fun as it sounded. But it was definitely a moment and it always stuck with me. It was a sunny day, cool out, probably a Thursday or Friday, long day of school ahead of us and we're kicking back drinking stolen beer in someone's car under bridge listing to The Perfect Prescription."

Rewatching this movie and i forgot this movie is so funny. Its a spoof of all those john hughes type 80s movies set in high school chris evans is actually good in a comedic role and so chyler leigh not the best spoof movie but not the worst

I really enjoyed this play. I studied it in high school and I am studying it again in college. It is just so much fun. The only thing I have a slight problem is the ending. *SPOILERS* Why does everyone end up together without any repercussions? But, whatever, I still like it.
