They have been calling this "Water for Elephants meets The Night Circus." Since I've never read either of those books, I could enjoy it for what it is - historical fiction, woman's murder mystery with a touch of magical realism. You can read my review of this novel here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/03/10/illusions-and-elusions/

While it seems like Nellie Bly is a hot subject these days, not all novels about her, or that were inspired by her amazing work are the same. This new biographical, historical, women's fiction novel proves that, as you'll see from my review on my blog here.

It seems everyone wants to be the person to chronicle the victory of the Allied forces taking Paris back from the Nazis. This novel follows two women in their efforts to gain that title. Read what I thought of Meg Waite Clayton's historical fiction novel, The Race for Paris, here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2016/10/18/women-witnessing-wwii/

This is a unique hybrid of poetry and prose, mixed with both historical fact and fiction based on the true life story of the famous American outlaw William Bonney, who was better known as "Billy the Kid". What happens when an author of historical dramatic fiction takes on the likes of the Knighted inventor of Jeeves and Wooster? You might be surprised to hear that what happens is actually a whole lot of fun! You can read my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/07/15/a-compliment-to-p-g-wodehouse/

If you’re looking for a historical fiction novel set in Paris, Edward Rutherfurd’s novel is exactly that. Plus, you’ll learn about this amazing city through the stories of six families and over seven centuries. "This was a very genteel book, with flirting and passion being declared in a way that is only proper!"

He’ll do anything for land, even marry her; she’ll do anything for her people, except marry him. If only either had a choice. It’s a marriage only love can save.
