Billy Wenan (Chance Hurstfield) is a very spoiled, entitled, and sadistic young boy. He has the advantages of privilege and lives with his wealthy Grandmother but is rude and condescending to the staff. Billy is also very arrogant and petty to the point that a Runner Up finish at his private school Science Fair after a string of wins motivates him to hire a Hitman (Walton Goggins) to intimidate the victor to falsely admit to cheating so he can claim victory.

This is not the first time Billy has hired the Hitman and when he gets a lump of coal for Christmas from Santa (Mel Gibson) he is enraged and hires the Hitman to take out Santa.

Santa has his own issues as a decline in revenue has forced him and his wife Ruth (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) to take on a project with the government to not only restore his fully stipend but to pay additional funds that will ensure financial stability.

The fact that the Hitman has his own reasons for having issues with Santa further motivates him to take the job and rushed north to face Santa on his own turf.

“Fatman” is a dark and entertaining new holiday entry that gives a contemporary take on Santa and his Elves as they must contend with the issues, politics, and changing world that face many companies.

The at times dark nature of the film is an interesting contrast to the usual overly sweet films that are commonplace this time of year and Gibson and Goggins backed by a strong supporting cast turn in memorable performances.

While not one for the kids; “Fatman” is a solid piece of entertainment and Eshom and Ian Nelms keep things moving at a steady pace and provide an interesting and contemporary look at Santa in the modern world and combine it with a story about finding a way through adversity.

Just in ONE WEEK, you'll be able to meet Cat McKenzie - a sass-mouthed rookie cop sent to work at PIG - the Paranormal Investigative Group – in BAD VAMPIRE by Lauren Dawes (@authorlaurendawes)

“You’ve been on compassionate leave for seven days.”

I held back my snarky reply.

Captain Wolfe was a scary motherf*cker who didn’t appreciate being interrupted.

I figured that one out for myself on day one.

‘Compassionate leave’ was a nice way to put it though. I’d watched my partner die a horrible, horrible death. And just stood there. Then they told me not to come into work for a week while they decided my fate.

“Are you still struggling with the Reveal?” Wolfe asked softly. “It’s okay if you are. It’s only been six months, but for many, adjusting to the new reality is hard.”

The Reveal was the day the world found out humans weren’t the only ones living on this planet.

It had all started with multi-billionaire John Davis and his shitheel son, Marcus. Marcus was convinced that dear old dad was running his auto-manufacturing company into the ground, and as a result, running all of his inheritance into the ground. The solution, in Marcus’s mind, was to hire a hitman to get rid of his father. The hitman, as it turned out, was fae, and when Marcus was eventually arrested for conspiracy to commit murder, he sold the hitman out in order to save his own skin.

In a much-publicized trial, the hitman—a fae named Kailon Perry—took the slight to heart…and out on Marcus’s ass. In front of the cameras, he let everyone see what he hid beneath his glamor while he tore Marcus Davis limb from limb.

Literally.

After that, all the supernaturals had come out to play—and all of them were monsters as far as I was concerned.

A must see movie!
Not the film I would normally pick out for myself, but I'm so glad I did!
Brutal from start to finish! The story follows a hitman (Black Kaiser) on the brink of retirement when he works out that his employer (Blut) is trying to get him killed to evade paying out the enormous retirement money he has accumulated! The hitmen hired to kill Black Kaiser defintiely get more than they have bargained for and soon work out age in the hitman game is a pretty good advantage.
Quite a few sex scenes, full on brutality and an underlying story that we don't really find out about until the last part of the movie.
I did kind of find the ending could of been a lot different but wouldn't want to ruin it for those that haven't seen it.

A decent little English comedy about an aging hitman who lives his life by strict rules and discipline. This all goes out the window when he can't kill his latest target a young con-artist and is aided by a young runaway in trying to protect her. It has quite a few funny moments and some very British humour in this black comedy. A great cast raise the standard and it has a certain charm about it.

Plenty of action scenes
Tons of action
A decent revenge action type of film. It's doesn't beat around the bush, it's quite brutal at times, throw in some fast cars, a quirky hitman, a downbeat cop, you know what to expect from this and it delivers it. It has quite a good supporting cast with a fair few familiar faces, plenty of shoot-outs, fights and the odd car chase or two. A very enjoyable film for your action needs.
