Can you say The Cowboys Holiday Bride three times fast? Well, I tried and failed. But I so enjoyed this rendition of A Christmas Carol themed story! Cathy McDavid has always been a favorite author from the Harlequin publishers as she has consistently good and relaxing stories.

This book was sweet, a little sassy, and made me smile. I so enjoyed getting to read and learn about Cash and Phoebe. I thought that their story was well laid out, had good character arcs, and I loved (have I said I loved the interesting take on A Christmas Carol?) Cathy McDavid’s unique and fun take on this classic story. It was just what I needed in the midst of this season. I recommend it to anyone wanting a feelgood story that will make you warm and fuzzy inside.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the well-done plot, the fun characters, and for making me smile & relax.

This is my second book by Jennifer Echols and I liked this one more than the other, [b:The One That I Want|11765175|The One That I Want|Jennifer Echols|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1318457926s/11765175.jpg|16716183].

I was captivated by this from more or less the first page. As soon as the cop (John) was introduced I was pulled in hook, line and sinker, and God, was it good!

I started this last night, a couple of hours after getting back from my holiday abroad and despite the 8/9 hours traveling time and very little sleep from the night before, I was instantly drawn into it and would not put it down, even taking my laptop to bed with me so I could carry on, getting to half way through before sleep got the better of me. I started it again as soon as I got up this morning and finished it a little while ago.

I will happily read more of the authors work if they're all like this :D

"Haha, I was thinking, there are millions of bleedin’ classic albums I could have chosen, but that album came out when I was on holiday with my kids, and I bought it because I’d seen her on The X Factor. She came on singing ‘If I Was A Boy’, and I thought, fucking hell man, if there was ever an example of what real talent is… you know what I mean? You’ve got some quite talented kids on that show, but then she comes on and it’s like all the lights on the planet have been turned on. And I really loved that song, I don’t know why, it just got me somehow: girls imagining what boys do, and so on. Unfortunately I didn’t see her at Glastonbury 'cos I had to leave, but my kids stuck around and saw it, and I watched it on the telly, and I loved how she put a lot of effort in and embraced the whole thing. Somehow she doesn’t seem as fake as a lot of those other pop-soul artists."
