Slow to start and begins looking like a generic teen novel but it got interesting with some darker tones and story. Would like to have seen more character development but there is more to the series so I'd hope it happens at some point, otherwise the characters didn't really change or grow much.

I finally got around to reading this one after seeing it on countless best books lists. I absolutely loved it!!! I really hope there will be more stories set in this world in the future! Definitely one of my all time favorite books and an author I will continue to follow. Highly recommended!!

This movie beautifully references classic Disney Movie Musicals.
Idina Menzel is criminally underused in this movie (lets hope after she won people’s hearts as Elsa we will get to see her more in the sequel).
