The Covenant
By Tom Lewis
⭐️⭐️
Capetown Maine is haunted. Everyone in the quiet seaside community knows it, but only Kenzie Walsh and her friends are willing to do something about it. So, when a mysterious, arcane chalice is found buried in a local cave, Kenzie delves into its origins. What she finds are its ties to a cursed, shadow-haunted city thought to only exist in legend, and its role in a terrifying end-times prophecy. A prophecy the chalice’s unearthing has set in motion; and which Kenzie and her friends may be the only hope of stopping.
I struggled with it if I’m honest it just wasn’t for me. I found it slightly long winded in places and in others that could have been interesting rushed past. A lot of over explanation.
Like I said it’s just not for me I hope that someo finds it for them.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Couldn’t put it down!
Wow! Not many books have me on the edge of my seat, but it everyday it was one of those “just one more chapter” scenarios. I appreciated the attempt to keep out the swearing. I don’t think it worked as well as intended, though. Such an exciting book! I can’t wait to see the movie now; I just hope it does the book justice.

Shaun Collins (3 KP) rated Star Trek, Volume 13 in Books
Jan 12, 2018
Two arcs finish the line, the first reveals what happens to Spock prime in the Kelvin time line as he struggles against a threat to the remaining Vulcan population. Exceedingly well done, Mike Johnson captures the voice of Leonard Nimoys Spock perfectly.
The last two stories are a crossover of sorts between the time line crews, and while its mostly fan service, its good fun fan service. Great stuff, I hope the next version of Trek is as consistent and solid.

I can't put into words how inspiring this movie felt to me. I feel like I have heard one of two reactions to the movie: "It's just another Star Wars movie at this point" and "OMG, didn't you love it? Didn't you feel like it was a reminder of hope? Didn't you feel like it was a reminder to resist?", and the reactions come from two very specific types of people.
Also, who can resist the little penguin-type animals? Really? Adorable.

Timeless classic
Tried to mark it as 10 out of 10, but program wouldn't let me. At 50 years old, I still enjoy watching this movie almost as much as I did when I was a kid. I really hope no producer or movie studio tries to remake this movie with CG as they will ruin it!

I have never seen a more impactful show. The actors involved have brought it from something that could've been just mediocre to something that is beyond words. It is spoken to so many people, saved so many lives, and brought so many people from all over the world together. If a show can do that it deserves way more than 10 out of 10. I always will love that show as well as the actors involved Jared, Jensen, Misha, etc.

Although this one wasn't my favorite of the murder club books, I still enjoyed reading it, more so for the characters than the plot. I love reading about these characters, not only reading about the going ons of their everyday lives but also their relationships with each other. I love reading about these women: their ups and downs, trials and tribulations and what makes them as awesome as they are. I hope there's going to be another in the series!

Well, this was such an easy read, I read it in a day.
I just love the easy flow that James Patterson writes with. I also love the view of the world through a teenagers view, in the throes of young teenage love and angst.
However the writing is slighty young for my tastes now...obviously as this is for teenagers, but I still enjoyed the read and I cant wait to read Angel....I hope Max does save the world.

I don't know about this one. I'm not sure if it has an anime series, or if it's just a manga, but this first volume leaves a lot to be desired. (I just looked, and I guess there is an anime series. I hope it's better!) It's fine in some parts, and in others, the story seems to just appear out of nowhere. It may have potential, but volume 2 won't be moved to the top of my reading pile.
