Yet again, Kristin Hannah has ripped my heart out of my chest and jumped all over it. And yet again, I’m just fine with that.
Frankie McGrath volunteers to go to Vietnam as a nurse, in the hope that she’ll be put up on her fathers “Hero’s Wall”. She arrives a naive idealist, and leaves emotionally scarred with no hope of support when she gets home.
In Vietnam, Frankie meets her best friends, who will always be there for her - two equally amazing women. They help her through PTSD, the end of relationships and substance abuse. The three women join the fight for recognition of Vietnam vets - where they are repeatedly told that they couldn’t have been there.
This book is in two parts: Vietnam and its aftermath, and honestly, both halves are equally harrowing.
This is such a powerful story. A story wanting recognition for the female nurses in Vietnam. It certainly puts their experiences out there for everyone to see.
The Women will be a book that I’ll be forcing into friends hands with the promise that they’ll love it, but they’ll be traumatised (I believe I made similar warnings to friends after I read The Nightingale).

Hope the original is better than this!
I've never seen the original, so this film should really benefit from the fact that I have no preconceptions. Unfortunately it still fails to deliver anything other than an unsuspensful and boring 2 hours.
The plot idea is a fairly good one, at least until it descends into nonsense later on, but the problem is it's very badly executed. There's no tension, no scares. It's all very predictable and yawn inducing. Shame really as it has a decent cast, they're just not given anything good to work with.

Starwars prequel
I really loved this movie as far as starwars goes .it s beautiful futureistic settings.strong characters who arnt made for just verry young kids .its verry teen to adult storyline.lots of action beliveable and even the smartmouth empire robot is funny yet not too over powering.ive watched this movie 3 times and could watch again.id have ranked it ahead of the first two made starwars movies but they were the first two and still hold a huge place in my heart...well worth the watch.

Awesome Movie
This movie I had high hopes for and it did not disappoint. The acting was superb, nobody overacted or tried to steal the show. Gal Gadot was a perfect casting choice for Wonder Woman.
There was action, comedy and a little bit of romance. It balanced out quite well in this movie. I have watched it three times and each time I come out with something new from it. I hope the other movies in the franchise are just as good.

Addictive watching (3 more)
Brilliant casting
It goes where alot of shows wont
Hannah
Must watch it
Watched the pilot, uncertain at the start but then it had me hooked. Watched the entire series over 2 days ( bet im not the only 1 lol). I understand what other reviewers have said about glorifying suicide but to be honest, looking at it just as a tv series, i was brilliant. Casting was perfect, especially hannah ( in my opinion, stunning), a must watch for everyone. I so hope they have a 2nd series

They should've stopped after the 1st one
Okay for starters, isn't this called Salazar's Revenge?
Anyway they really need to stop making these films. The first one was fantastic, but they've gradually gone worse since then and this 5th film is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's ridiculously over the top even for Jack Sparrow, completely unfunny and mostly nonsense. I really didn't understand what was going on with the over the top CGI either with Salazar and his pirates, it looked awful.
I really hope this is the last one...

Someone is watching on over you.
This is a Spanish psychological thriller staring Luis Tosar who does a cracking job as one of the guys you never hope to come across. I caught this particular film on the Horror channel of all places and, I was pleasantly surprised by this tense and dark film which at times had me on the edge of my seat and just a little freaked out. If this film was meant to be a bit unsettling, it did it well.
