Do you love stories of hope, love, and second chances? Well, then you definitely should check out A Ranger for the Twins by Tanya Agler. It embodies Harlequin’s Heartwarming theme as it will surely be a sweet quick read that will engage you.

Both Lucie and Caleb have been through a lot in their lifetime, and it shows in their characters. They are not very trusting but they both have great growth in that area and many others in such a short time. I also really enjoyed the twins and their fun antics with their array of animals

"Though perhaps an outlier in Lynch’s seminal body of work, this film reveals the depth of his humanity and the care with which he attends to all matters of the tragic, the pitiable, and the grotesque. Lynch demands that we align ourselves with the deformed John Merrick, and in bringing the audience so close to the agony of being this man, we approach the same exquisite, unexpected grace that Merrick experiences. Misunderstood and reviled, ridiculed and feared — this is the terrible humanity that Lynch dares to reveal in all of us. We should be grateful for a statement of such compassion and hope."

I really enjoyed this.

This series is very complex in some respects but oh, so good when it's on a roll.

I'm still half in love with both Lincoln and Phoenix <spoiler>though now Phoenix has gone all serious bad guy and wanting to revive Lilith</spoiler> - I shouldn't like Phoenix as much, though he doesn't always seem like he's enjoying the stuff he's doing.

The soul mates thing sounds amazing, though it also sounds heart-breaking/soul destroying :/ I hope they make the right choice for each other

Can't wait to read the next book in the series (just not quite yet :))

"This follows three drag kings and how they have explored their gender through creativity and playfulness. It’s really interesting, because drag queens get so much more publicity and are so much more well-known – I hope drag kings can get more recognition now. Since my new record is very much about exploring gender, when I watched this short film I was really moved by it. There’s one drag king who through performing realised that maybe being a woman wasn’t the right way to describe who they were. It’s a very intimate and introspective film but powerful."

"Bruno Schulz’s slim output of stories were all he needed to publish in his lifetime to earn his place alongside other 20th Century giants like Franz Kafka and Jorge Luis Borges. Not that he didn’t hope to write and publish more. The life of this Galician Jew was cut short when he was shot dead in the streets of Drohobych in a tit-for-tat between German officers of the occupying Nazi force. What survives is the people and other beings of the ghetto Schulz made eternal and universal in a text where everything has the right to respect, even a tailor’s dummy."

This has a runtime of only 12 minutes (including credits) but that was all it took for it to have an absolutely devastating emotional impact.

The animation is a simplistic style but this was all to its credit, as in each scene your eye was drawn specifically to the important details.
It made it feel so raw, and full of the emotions it was trying to illicit.

I wouldn't like to say too much, as I wouldn't want to colour any details of this powerful piece.
I hope that viewers will enjoy it for the beautiful work that it is.

I've just discovered that this is the final part in Keiron Gillen's run of Star Wars graphic novels, edging ever closer (as it does) to the timeline of The Empire Strikes Back.

Any, yes, in many respects it does 'feel' like a finale or even an epilogue, with the disparate plot threads of the previous entries all finally coming together and with Leia, Han, Luke and co all making a strike back at the Queen of Shu-Torun, whose betrayal was largely responsible for the massive defeat they suffered in Star Wars, Vol. 9: Hope Dies.
