I work as a respiratory therapist so I deal with patients on ventilators all the time. This book has made me more aware of what the patient is going through and I hope, it's given me a little more patience with my patients.
One thing I found very strange was that the family had to pay separately for a nurse at the hospital and had to find coverage if a nurse couldn't be there--and this takes place at one of the most well-known hospitals in the country. I have never heard of a family having to do that and I've worked in several different facilities and have since a few years after the events in the book took place. I've even worked in a rehab facility and nursing care was included. (More LPNs than RNs, but still, someone was there to take care of patients.)

How is it possible that I have not read any of Lisa Unger's books until now?? This book was so good I could not put it down, which is not necessarily a good thing when you are an elementary school teacher headed back to work after being off (ie. sleeping in) for 2 weeks. LOL
The plot was so fast paced and well developed. The characters were interesting and very believable. There were plenty of twists & turns, the kind that leave you thinking you have it all figured out only to realize at the end that you were only partially right. Just the kind of book I love! This is 1 avid reader that has a new go to author. I can't wait to delve in to another of her books. I hope they are all as great & easy to get lost in as this one was.

This is a story about a horse named Frosty. He starts to have nightmares about something about his past. Though he does not know for sure. You learn about a great hero named Nightstalker. He starts to see images while riding with his owner. Frosty goes through life changing events that trigger when he turns two years of old. Is it about his past or are they bad dreams?
You go about and meet Nightstalker. His he the same horse that is know named Frosty? What is all the experience or images that hes see or dreams about that seem to come to life? Do Frost have memories of his past that is they get another life if they may get another life. Love horse stories this might be a good one for you. I hope you enjoy and this is a good story.

Before i watch the film on Netflix today
This is a great High school story what would you do different if you had only one day. I loved the concept and the execution was brilliant. This book has just been made into a film and finally on Netfix today. Personally I cant wait to see if they have done it justice. I hope so film review will be up in a day or two. As a whole im a fan of Lauren Oliver I love Replica having two stories in one book where you had to flip the book to read the others story was amazing. Delirium I had a harder time getting into purely because i had read Matched the day before and the story and characters where so similar it was hard to differentiate between the two. However Before I fall is my favorite of all her stories.

There are 2 things I want to say about this audiobook.
1. The narration does not fit the feel of the book. The narrator would be great for a kids story but not for an adventure story like this. So if I were you, I would read it, not listen to it.
2. When I first started it, I had my doubts; but about 2 chapters in, I knew I was hooked. Even though the narration irritated me, this story is so involved, exciting, entertaining, and all-consuming, that I am dying for the next one. I am so excited and will be waiting for the release date.
If you love adventures, pirates, revenge, and a little hint of magic, this one is for you.
Content/Recommendation: Some violence and mention of sex, but no sexual content. Ages 16+

Quick read
Great character development

Action-packed and exciting
I hadn't really given the Science Fiction genre a fair chance, so I decided that this would be a "starter" book. I figured since it was Book 1 of a series, I'd either love this book enough to get the next 2 or just abandon all hope for the genre.
I am happy to say that I found this book action-packed and exciting with a unique plot.
Well developed characters bring you into the story and make you actually care what happens to them.
The thought of humans having their minds transferred into AI robots (as well as other objects) is amazing and frightening all at the same time...especially when it is for the purpose of defeating a lab-created AI that has gone rogue with an objective to annihilate the human race!
I am happy to say that I found this book action-packed and exciting with a unique plot.

Poetry can be a very personal thing, or it can be a thing of great beauty transcending a generation or a county and becoming part of your very being. Alternatively, poetry can be throw away, a collection of sounds meant to inspire thought or simply to entertain, but in my experience, this latter form is often difficult to capture on the page and even harder to recreate in the minds and hearts of a reader. I would love the hear these poems performed, read out, expressed and felt, perhaps then their inner rhythm would show itself and make sense. Sadly, as these poems are written I am robbed of that experience, and as such find little to draw me back to their tale. If you like written performance style poetry this will be for you, I hope I get the chance to hear them one day.

In the USA, this book had to be published as 'The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle', due to it being too close to a book released a few months previously. I actually think the US title is more accurate than the original title.
I found it hard to get my bearing when I began reading this, trying to figure out exactly what was happening. I found the fixation on Anna was very strange, and slightly unnecessary in my mind. I just got tired of her. It is slightly convoluted, and it probably could have been cut down by at least 100 pages.
While I figured out the answer around 1/4th into the book, I did end up liking it for the most part. This would make a really good 10 episode series, and I hope a company has bought the rights so an adaptation can occur.

I received an arc copy of this book for an open and honest review
I would have loved to give this book a 5 star rating as the whole story was so raw, so heartbreaking, so terribly sad that I truly wanted a happy ending, and I suppose hope and the knowledge that she has started to resolve her issues are a happy ending but I just wanted more from the ending. I couldn't put this book down, it gripped me, it was compelling. The writing was sound and the build up of the characters were great, apart from Paul - I just could not connect with him, but perhaps that was the point? For me the let down was the ending, what happened to Nora? Fiona? between Nora and John? It just seemed to leave a lot of loose ends! Other than that it was great!!!
