ArecRain (8 KP) rated Fly You To The Moon (Stardust Erotic Romance Series #1) in Books
Jan 18, 2018
I received this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I would like to say this was a cute romance novella but the heroine was too frustrating. Actually, both leads were but male protagonists was more understandable. The couple fell in love but, due to their relationship, are not allowed to be together. However, they still act like they are together, e.i. jealousy, touching, etc. That was all fine and dandy, but the female lead was too childish for me. Not to mention she seemed to cry on nearly every page. I dont mind tears, they realistic. But this novel had too much.
Also for being the first in the series, there isnt much background information. While its not absolutely necessary, it would have been much appreciated.
The author created a interesting universe with realistic characters (even though they werent my favorites). It ends with a pretty hot scene, but is overall pretty tame.

Ora et Labora
Who woulda thought? In 2007 (way before I was gaming) amongst the many new games released at Spiel, one stuck out especially. A game where you try to build a well-balanced farm consisting of crops, pastures and growing your family. No, I am not talking about Farmville! (I get that question over and over from newbies….ugh), I’m talking about Agricola. A game that has now conjured up a slew of awards from “Best complex game” by the Spiel des Jahres to even dethroning Puerto Rico’s 5 year running of highest rated game on the Geek. Uwe Rosenberg, the designer of the now much loved Agricola, has recently released “Ora et Labora” – A hot-off-the-press / sold-out almost everywhere game that I have very quickly formed an extreme love/hate relationship with.
So the good is the game rocks!

Erika Kehlet (21 KP) rated Crime and Catnip (Nick and Nora Mysteries, #3) in Books
Feb 21, 2018
International intrigue, false identities, and a very clever cat will keep you guessing right up to the last moment of this cozy mystery. While meeting with a museum director to discuss a catering job, Nora finds herself also tasked with finding the directors long lost niece and heir. When she isnt running her sandwich shop, Hot Bread, Nora also spends some of her time looking into the disappearance of her cat Nicks former owner, a detective who has been missing for some time. As cryptic messages come in, she eventually realizes that the two cases may be connected in some way. She just has to find the connection before the killer finds her!
Crime and Catnip is book #3 in the Nick and Nora mystery series, but even without having read the earlier two installments, I had no trouble figuring out who was who or what was going on.

Hot steamy action from the first page but soon wears a bit thin as there's more sex than storyline to the book and I'm finding I'm scanning through the sex scenes the further I get in to the book just in the hope of finding some thing more interesting. This would have been a good book if a little more thought had gone into the writing, it needs more depth. I disliked the crudeness of some of the descriptions and it could have been more sensual but THEN, just when I think this is going to be a standard read the last couple of chapters are captivating. They have feeling and emotion, everything the rest of the book didn't have and I'm now feeling robbed that the rest of the book wasn't the same.
In the end the last few chapter more than make up for the rest, this is an adult read and I did enjoy it in the end.
3.5 Stars

I'm 19% finished with this book and I have to put it down. My life is too short to read books that I cannot get into.
I was really excited to read this book. The advertising was spectacular and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read a "Harry Potter with millenials." Unfortunately this book has fell so flat I'm having to DNF it. The characters seem to be extremely chiche & their descriptions were just awful. If this is supposed to be adult fiction you really don't need to have a description being "the hot" guy. I would expect more from any author.
The plot line seemed interesting enough but the writing has ruined any chance for me to enjoy it. It reads like a mix between young adult and middle grade fiction. This would be all fine and dandy if it wasn't being advertised as adult fiction.
All in all, I would not recommend this book.

Alicia S (193 KP) rated Guardian Angel (Angel's Halo MC #3) in Books

I absolutely fell in love with this series from page 1! Incredible MC series that follows so many great characters where the guys are all just a bunch of big softies for their women. ;-) I love everyone in this group.. the brothers are hot, tough, alpha bikers who would do anything to protect their women and families. The ladies have all gone through so much and are all so different but all such interesting characters each with crazy stories and pasts of their own.
I've said this in past reviews throughout this series but what I love the most about it is that it follows everyone.. one book does not just cover one character or couple, but you are able to follow along with everyone's story throughout. LOVE IT! I've laughed and cried, feeling so close to these characters and am so sad I've finally reached the end. CAN'T WAIT for more books in this series!! HIGHLY recommended!!

Characters (2 more)
Unpredictable
Smut Scenes
Twists & turns that are sure to keep you guessing
I was first introduced to Armada West when I read her vampire series war/SONG and I definitely fell in love with her writing style. I was a little hesitant to read this one simply because it was in a different style than the last one. When the Gloves Come Off is a contemporary romance that has basically everything you could want. It has hot sex scenes, decently developed characters, mafia men, shoot outs and a plot that will keep you guessing.
I'm an avid romance reader and I find that many of the books I have read are predictable, this was not one of them. There were twists and turns and many times I wanted to throw my book down because one of the twists came out of left field.
All in all, I enjoyed this book. If you haven't read Armada West, I highly recommend it!

HLD (99 KP) rated Amazon Fire TV Stick in Tech

You can stream content easily (3 more)
Various apps are supported
No loud noises coming from the device
Alexa is a nice touch, although a bit of a gimmick to me personally
It can feel quite slow at times (1 more)
Some of the apps designs are often trudged and unappealing. But that's not the devices fault
Good price for a good product
I use the fire stick every day and it has relived much stress from my life. I grew up watching things on my laptop, then xbox 360, then ps4. So, to have something that isn't constantly blowing hot air in to the room is pure relief.
Typing in to the search bar is a pain in the a*** when you use the accompanying remote, so I downloaded the Fire TV app and it has made the experience a hell of a lot easier. Especially considering my phone is always by my bedside, and the remote always seems to get lost in the sheets.

Kim Pook (101 KP) rated The Babysitter (2017) in Movies
Aug 13, 2019
Proper cheesefest
I put this movie off for ages as it didn't look that great from trailers, but i kept getting drawn back to it so thought I may as well give it a go.
Basically the movie is about a young teen called Cole - i use the word teen loosely as i swear he only looks about 12!- who has a hot babysitter. She's kind, sweet and Cole enjoys her being around. However, one night he decides to stay up and see what she gets upto when he's asleep, turns out she's part of a satanic cult. When she finds out that he knows, her and her cult friends set out to try and kill Cole and it turns into a cross between scream, scary movie and home alone.
It has a lot of tongue in cheek humour and not to be taken seriously, if you want an easy watch with still plenty of gore give it a go.

Jac and Aylee have never met. But when they do, it's like an electric spark. After meeting Jac, Aylee can't wait to tell her friend, Jacqueline about him, but she is surprised when she arrives to dinner and Jac is there instead of Jacqueline. A typo brought them together, but will they stay that way. They both have anxieties that are hard for them to overcome. Will being together be good for them both, or bad?
Thank you to Frankie Love and C.M. Seabrook for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Have you ever had a date with a gorgeous guy by accident? I wish my life was like that. When Aylee steps into the bar, she is pleasantly surprised to see Jac there. Even though it was a typo that got him there, he doesn't ever want to be without this woman. How does he have this hold on her so fast?
Another quickie from the queens sure to make you hot and bothered.
