Kitty goes to Washington ( Kitty Norville book 2)
By Carrie Vaughn
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
Celebrity werewolf and late-night radio host Kitty Norville prefers to be heard and not seen.So when she?s invited to testify at a Senate hearing on behalf of supernaturals, and her face gets plastered on national TV, she inherits a new set of friends, and enemies, including the vampire mistress of the city; an ++ber-hot Brazilian were-jaguar; and a Bible-thumping senator who wants to expose kitty as a monster.Kitty quickly learns that in this city of dirty politicians and backstabbing pundits, everyone?s itching for a fight
Kitty is definitely finding her feet! I’m so glad to be seeing the meal mild scared Kitty slowly disappearing. This is fast becoming one of my favourite series. I don’t think I have recovered fully from TJs death and neither has she but I loved the little reference and peace of mind she had. Looking forward to more.

Jackjack (877 KP) rated The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020) in Movies

Brilliant film!
Where do I start, I personally don't have a problem with low budget films, especially qwerky comedy/horror's like this one. It all started when a young man stayed awake to see what his babysitter got upto whilst he sleeps, turns out the hot fun babysitter called Bee (better known as samara weaving who played a brilliant rill in the comedy horror ready or not!) is part of a blood cult, a deal with the devil and tries to perform a ritual but this scared kid reeks havoc as he tried to escape them because no one is to know what happened that night.
With this well made film, 2 years later it goes back to see how his life is now since then, no. 2 offers good twists and I was happy to see they used all the same actors! In this sequel there is plenty of blood gore and comedy to keep you entertained. Definitely one to watch if you enjoyed the first one this will not disappoint.

Merissa (12069 KP) rated My Safe Haven (Lyrics of Love #12) in Books
Oct 23, 2020
My Safe Haven is the 12th and final book in the Lyrics of Love series and finally, FINALLY, Jace finds his girl. Unfortunately for him, Jenna is a bit more skittish about being with him than he would like but she does have her reasons. Reasons which come out with time throughout the book and are heart-breaking.
This was a great story with a gentle, hot, and supportive main male and a feisty but slightly broken main female. I loved how Jace didn't rush her in any way and let her make her own mind up. She is running for good reasons but will she learn to run to Jace?
This was a great finale to the series, with plenty of cameos from previous couples. A feel-good story to end on which I have no hesitation in recommending.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

First off: the cover is amazing - well the guy is. And the plot sounded good.
It started quite good but it become pretty obvious from fairly early on that a certain someone wasn't all that he seemed and it was rather slow in getting to the culprit and why he'd done what he did.
And then the romance, too. It started quite nice and gentle and then the dirty talk when they finally got into bed...there is one word I don't like - begins with c, ends in t, and is 4 letters - and Hunter used it a few times. To me, it's not hot or attractive. I find it kinda vulgar and it puts me off.
As for the rest of the story. I just found it a little boring. There wasn't enough stuff going on for me. I like a little angst between my characters, I like to get drawn into their romance, I like them to fight and make up...
It just wasn't what I wanted it to be.

Worth a read
For starters: Wow! What a rollercoaster. This fast paced novel keeps you on your toes and once you start you can't put it down.
You either follow the story from either Daniel; the one left behind; or from the side of Chenille; the one you learn to love despite her mistakes.
Despite the pace of the book; moving weeks months within a matter of pages; and the switching of sides it is easy to follow with plenty of twists to keep you turning the pages.
If you do have to put it down it is very easy to pick right back up without too much hassle.
You learn so much about these characters you feel their emotions; you cry for them, you fight for them and you care for them as of they are your own.
If you are after a good read to read wherever you are; on the school run (guilty!), on the bus or tube or snuggled by the fire with a hot chocolate then this is the one for you.

The Mob, romance and favors
Julia is a young, beautiful widow.....a product of Mob life and misfortune. She has a strong personality and knows that she doesn't want to be part of that life. I like how she's quite relatable, many of us want to avoid taking the same path as our parents in one way or another and that's what Julia is doing.
Domenico is hot! Another child of the Mob but never a made man. He's smart, successful, strong family bonds and bowled over by Julia.
A Favor for a Favor creates an Italian/American world full of intrigue and romance. I couldn't put the book down for long before I was drawn back to it and I'm still thinking about it now. Each time I thought I was nearly done something else happened, another puzzle piece was slipped back in....love it!
So, if you like to have something that keeps you guessing, has murder, romance and surprises then look no further.
