I saw this book advertised, and was looking for a light read at the time, so I gave it a chance. It ended up being a decent beach read type of book! It had a lot of humor throughout, and the story was fluid. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.

Another fun one
Like the first one, this movie had plenty of humor and zombie-killing action. The story was not it's strongest feature but kept things interesting enough(like the first one). The acting was excellent and the cinematography great. If you liked the original, you'll enjoy this fun-filled sequel. Worth a watch!

Michel Gondry recommended Groundhog Day (1993) in Movies (curated)

Groundhog Day (1993)
Groundhog Day (1993)
1993 | Comedy, Fantasy, Romance

"I would say Groundhog Day. It’s an amazing concept, but that can apply to everyday life, on the river of life. Many times, you say, you wake up and you have the same day. It’s a great concept that leads to a lot of sentiment and humor. And of course, Bill Murray is genius."

"Nabokov’s essays on Russian literature are brilliantly funny and iconoclastic. He loves Gogol and hates Dostoyevsky and accuses him of being like the worst kind of sensationalist, journalistic hack. “Dostoyevsky is not a great writer, but a rather mediocre one—with flashes of excellent humor, but, alas, with wastelands of literary platitudes in between.”"

"No one does family sagas like Kristan Higgins. She brings incredible emotion with so much wit and humor that you’re pulled in from the very first lines. I found myself laughing out loud on page one. Always the Last to Know is another winner with characters you know and root for all the way through."

A lot of fun and a good story underneath all the humor.
Had been entertained by the multiple trailers for the movie, so heading in I was hoping for good things. Film took the trailer funnies and expanded on them. There's your expected internet jokes and memes, all integrated well into the retro characters from your favorite video games. The part, however, that really stuck out to me was the amazing story underneath all the humor. Movie tells a heartfelt tale of friendship, letting go, and the true bonds we make with those we love. Also loved how all the extra characters from other games and films were integrated in without damaging their respective stories and/or morals previously established. Job well done. Disney.
