Twisted, dark humour
The first volume of Preacher sees Jesse Custer quickly on the run after receiving Genesis (and his church exploding) - in fact, most of the first series of the TV adaption takes place within the first few pages, with a much-expanded look at the life of jaded reverend Custer in the small Texas town of Annville.
The story from there on is mad, twisted, dark and funny and includes so many oddball characters.

Corbyn as is Funny
The publisher asked for submissions and this is the result. A massive compendium of comic book stories where Jeremy Corbyn is the hero. It is funny, clever and original. I imagine if you are a Tory you will hate it. If you are a Coryn fan you will give it ten, if you are a neutral comic book fan an 8. Its just great fun

A bit bland. (0 more)
I had great hope's for this book, due to reviews I had read before picking it up. A bit disappointing, if I'm honest. It did read like a story but without any emotion. It was predictable which was quite off-putting. I read reviews of humour, but I found none. Written in short chapters so very quickly and easily read. I did read it all though, so there is that. I probably wouldn't recommend.

Short but sweet
As I work in the NHS I thought I would give this book a go around the Christmas period. It did get a few giggles from me but other than that, it was slightly repetitive. I realised as I was reading this book that I should have first read Adam Kay's "This is going to hurt" so that some of the writing in this book would have made more sense. Short but sweet!
