The Serial Killer's Sister
The Serial Killer's Sister

This might be the third in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone; they are not linked and you can read them in any order.

Once again, Alice Hunter has created an intriguing story. Anna hasn't had the best start in life but she has managed to shake that off and build a good life with her husband and all is looking good until the police turn up on her doorstep to tell her that her brother is a serial killer and she may hold the key to catching him or could she be the next victim?

Written over two timelines and mostly from Anna's perspective, the short chapters make this feel fast paced and despite there not being a lot of the usual gruesome descriptions that are the norm with serial killer books, Alice Hunter uses the growing sense of tension to put you on tenterhooks and racing to find out what's going to happen. This is a great story with unexpected twists and just when you think you've got it, another one happens that turns the story on it's head.

I don't think I actually liked any of the main characters but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the book and I would recommend to those who enjoy a good serial killer book without a plethora of violence and gore and my thanks must go to Avon Books UK and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of The Serial Killer's Sister.

Right at the beginning of this book Stephanie Plum quits her job as a bounty hunter. Throughout the course of the book she picks up various jobs throughout Trenton. The jobs don't last long though because of course something always happens to ruin them...spending the night with Morelli & showing up late on her first day, blowing things up...typical Plum. Of course that leads to Ranger offering her a job at Rangeman which Stephanie accepts grudgingly.
You'd think her not being a bond enforcement agent would lessen the antics Plum manages to find herself in, but fortunatly for us the readers that is not the case! This book is just as action packed & hilarious as the previous installments in the series.

Great premise for a zombie series, the usual man-made virus trope dusted off again, but this time thee action happens quite some time after the breakout and society is fairly stable and safe now. Or at least it would be if those ruddy journalists (the protagonists) didn't go poking sticks where they shouldn't.
This is something of a zombie version of Hunter S Thompson's campaign trail with the hired journalists documenting a presidential candidate's campaign trail, with various implausible (staged) accidents.
The action rolls along well, the characters are a little irritating and some of the dialogue really got on my nerves.
Overall an enjoyable read with something of a message to it, and I did carry on with the series.

I parked at my local tescos and for over 30 minutes you need to spend £5 for the parking. I was in a rush so thought I'd grab the first book that had an interesting plot. Gallery of the dead sat on my shelf collecting dust for weeks/months. I have decided to give it a go the other day and I am so glad to have picked it up. This is my first time reading a book by chris carter but he ahs my attention every single page. I cant wait to get my hands on more books from the robert hunter series. A must read for crime loves I would say and highly recommend reading it! You'll get hooked!

Guess who?
Murder mystery is exactly that, a murder mystery. Sandler and Aniston co star in this comedy as a police officer who can't seem to pass his detectives exam and his wife, a hairdresser in need of a break. The couple go on a long awaited retreat but are offered a cruise ride by a rich stranger in place of a tour bus.

After accepting and meeting the other passengers on board, thing's quickly go south when one of them is murdered (see where this is going?) The jokes come in nicely and the couple's banter is fun.

This is the best I've seen Sandler since the ridiculous 6 and Aniston since the bounty hunter.

So glad this book was published! I had thought Dark Queen was the last book but I'm so ecstatic to realize that I was wrong. I really admire authors whose characters can learn to change even if they have to take a few steps back they can still go forward and not start from scratch at each book. Jane definitely does this slowly and not always the best at it but she does. Faith Hunter does a fantastic job at continuity and, yes you HAVE to read the previous books because she interweaves important things from previous books into the narrative. And the twist I didn't see that coming. I can't wait for the next book.

King Of The Jungle
Tarzan- I love this movie, this is one of my favorite animation films of all time. Its a classic.

The plot: In this Disney animated tale, the orphaned Tarzan (Tony Goldwyn) grows up in the remote African wilderness, raised by the gentle gorilla Kala (Glenn Close). When a British expedition enters the jungle, Tarzan encounters the beautiful Jane (Minnie Driver) and recognizes that, like her, he's human. Falling in love with Jane, Tarzan is torn between embracing civilization and staying with his gorilla family, which becomes threatened by the ruthless hunter Clayton (Brian Blessed).

Its a excellent and fantastic movie made by Disney before the 2000's. When the 2000's hit went on a downhill slop. But ill get to those movies.
